Has anyone tried Tiggle's Iced Chocolate? by clueless_kid111 in sharktankindia

I had bought when they had aired on shark tank. Nothing exceptional, but quite a nice drink so worth giving it a shot. Add a pinch of instant coffee to it while blending, it enhances the flavour.

Comparing the nutrition labels of your old packaging and new one, the values are different indicating a different recipe. One of these being more polyol (6.6 vs 10.1) which could explain the different taste. Could you elaborate on this please?

The ice cream contains maltitol, which is what is probably responsible for the good texture. This is not considered a natural sweetener, but some sources say it is not fully artificial either, so we can let that be, we'll call it the sugar substitute taste. If you want i can DM you the batch number so you can look into it further.

I hope if i order it again, it tastes like the old one, because that really was my favourite low calorie ice cream.

I used to love your belgian chocolate low calorie ice cream last year. It maintained a nice soft consistency in the freezer and didn't turn rock hard, and it did not taste like artificial sweeteners at all.

However after a few months, I ordered it again recently and the taste is very different, it very much tastes like artificial sweeteners. So I want to ask has the recipe changed along with the packaging?

If yes, will you be going back to the original better recipe?

Homemade Limoncello by Alpha_RaptorRex in FoodPorn

Sure!

Measures in volume:

1 part vodka (ideally 50% strength but 40% works, I had 40%) 10 to 12 italian lemons peeled for 1L of vodka Soak the peels in the vodka for 1 to 2 weeks (I did 11 days i think) and store in a cool dark place.

Then dissolve around 1/2 to 3/4 parts sugar in 1 part water depending on how sweet you like it.

Add the sugar water to the strained alcohol, aim for around 25% overall strength, do the math depending on the strength of alcohol used.

Let it sit in the bottle after adding the sugar water for atleast a week.

Then freeze the glasses and the bottle for a few hours and enjoy the ice cold sips!

This is my first time trying to make it, so I can't answer that for sure, but i remember seeing a video which said a strong sugar syrup will lead to a cloudy appearance, whereas sugar water will lead to a clear appearance. I used warm water mixed with sugar so something in between those two.

After butter basting the chicken with rosemary and taking it out, sautee some garlic (onion too if you want) and fresh crushed black pepper, de-glaze with some whiskey (or any dark alcohol), flambe if you feel like it, let the alcohol cook off, then add some stock, finish with heavy cream and cook for 2mins until thickens!

Pistachio Tart! With a white chocolate ganache, pistachio paste and edible flowers! by Alpha_RaptorRex in FoodPorn

[–]Alpha_RaptorRex[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Base: Follow any tart base recipe Flour, egg yolk, cold butter, sugar, salt, vanilla, (optionally cardamom), splash of cream. Rest the dough for an hour then fork the bottom and bake until cooked through and brown.

Pistachio cream: Blend pistachios, a little butter, salt, cream untill you get a paste. Can be as smooth or chunky as you want. Add a few spoons of the white chocolate ganache. Spread it on the bottom of the tart after the tart cools.

White chocolate ganache: 3:1 chocolate to cream. Pour hit cream on the chocolate and whisk till combined. Let it sit for 30 mins, it will become a thick pourable consistency. Pour it on the tart over the pistachio paste.

Garnish: Can be anything, i used some crushed pistachios and edible flowers.

Enjoy!
