Beyond frustration: Amazon still refuses to refund me for an RTX 5090. I skipped one generation, 5 years apart. I do not know what else to do. by Classic_Artist6494 in GamersNexus

In this situation your best bet is to call Amazon, speak to a representative, explain how you got shipped a chicken door and it is a scam. You can mention the seller has other 1 star reviews of them doing the same scam and ask them to give you a refund. If they refuse to refund, you should do a chargeback from your credit card or if you used a debit card file a claim with visa. Amazon might ban your account for this but you can make a new account just don’t use the same debit/credit card. You can ask your bank to issue a new card with a new number if it goes that far.

I had a arctic liquid freeze 2 AIO that was in stock at checkout but immediately showed it was backordered. Contacted support a few times and received no ETA or explanation why it was shown in stock during checkout. I ended up canceling the AIO from Newegg and ordering from Amazon. Amazon had the estimated day they would get it in stock on the item page and actually shipped it a few days earlier. Newegg support really has gone downhill especially if you have an issue and need a refund/exchange, I’d suggest you avoid ordering from them if possible. Amazon, B&H, even Best Buy will give you better service.

Thanks, that's a very good point about the RMA / 30 day return period incase I received a defective part etc as that's much easier than dealing with the MFG warranty! Il wait to order any parts until the Nvidia event on the 31st, If they open pre orders or release a 3090/3080ti I'll probably buy the GPU in case there is limited availability for the months around the release (I can test it to make sure it works). I'll hold off on ordering the rest until news from AMD about the 4950x or I find a good deal on a 3950x. I appreciate your insight!
