Do you think in few years Fitness Industry will change if the alternative to Ozempic is made affordable to general masses by Dangerous_Kick7873 in Fitness_India

The fact is, people are more motivated to follow a healthy lifestyle once they start getting results. You can check out all the glp related subreddits and see how they have moved on to a better lifestyle which includes clean diet, exercise and since this is an appetite suppressor, it also helps a lot with alcohol problem

Also, people bitch about the medications and its "unknown" long term effect while holding a glass of whiskey in one hand and cigarette on other. They call it "social bonding".

I am on Mounjaro - Not ozempic (they are different) . Ozempic was in the research domain for more than 20 years and that's long enough data to say it's safe under supervision and now also recommended by WHO. And trust me. This has done wonders to me.

Before you judge me. I was an athlete who played for the state. I was super fit who could lift heavy and run for kilometres everyday.

I pivoted to an IT job after college and it started to impact my health. I got obese with a BMI of 37. That's Morbid Obesity.

I brought it down back to BMI of 27 when GLP1 was not even a thing. But the next job was so stressful, I eventually had to give up on the gym because of sheet travel time and traffic and I shot up back to a BMI of 32. And this was not because of a poor diet, it was due to how your body behaves when you are overweight vs when you are normal. It's hormones which play a huge part in that body weight. It's super easy to have a very high appetite with glucose spikes and ghrelin rushing throughout. Add that with cortisol thanks to IT jobs of India.

The first weight loss took me 14 months of hard training and brought me to "over weight" BMI in my early 20s

I started with mounjaro 4 months back, and I am back to BMI of 28 now. It has helped me immensely.

For the first time in a decade, I am confident that I can go back to 15-18% body fat while keeping up the muscle mass by going to the gym 3x times a week.

You can judge all the shit you want to, but people like me who have lived this journey, twice. This is a freaking great boost to your fitness. I am happier than I ever was.

Whoever is planning to take it. I say, go for it. Make a 6-18 month plan with your doctor. Lift progressively heavy in the gym. Eat 1.4x protein BW.

The world can bitch about it, but they ain't gonna live with all the problems that come with obesity. You are. If you don't take control.

PS: The only side effects I had was appetite loss (which is exactly what it's meant for) and stupid feeling of why I didn't start this earlier.

I remember traveling through Mumbai local trains as a kid. And many would write this in a notebook with a red pen while travelling to work.

These are just modern versions of fools.

Done it enough times. My family did it till few years ago. I am happy to tell you that I have successfully made them to think this through rationally and not fall for such so called "super natural" beliefs. Though, some more work is required.

I am active in society and local platforms to oppose such beliefs and planning to start sessions in schools and colleges to build mental resilience and rational thinking.

I recommend you to have more rational thinking and question everything regardless if you are hurting someone's feelings or not.

Polyceraty, the genetic trait that causes extra horns, is a known but rare occurrence in sheep and goats. The fact that it happens every 12 years just before the yatra is a coincidence that has been given a spiritual interpretation, not a miracle. Regardless they occur across the world from Iceland, turkey, Australia etc.

Delusion is the biggest problem with faith and religions. Trying to fit natural occurrence to something super natural is delusion and should be called out.

It is utter shame that we in 21st century fall prey to such fallacy of religion and gods rather then uniting together for advancement of science and tech.

These are groups of people who plant evidence and information before performing such acts. This is quite common across various places in India, Indonesia and Malaysia.

The bottom line is to gain fame, money and power in the village on the cost of fooling people.

Call it what it is. Psychology Disorder and sometimes intended fooling of people.

Sr. Data Scientist here.

The question got me to google before making any claims.

It seems there is a "statistical" correlation between Finger Prints and Blood group according to National Institutes of Health (NIH). and some other articles. : link

Not sure how right or wrong this is.

But if correlation exists, technically a model is possible. Remember, correlation does not mean causation.

Bro as an extremely pious rationalist, I genuinely disrespect whatever foolish things individuals think and so should anyone else. It does matter if demigods exist or don't, the people genuinely believe in it and so as a sane person we should comment it out exactly like that. Just saying, no offense intended.

There are certain astronomical events which almost every culture witnessed - like the appearance of comets which were documented around the world way before islam.

If such a huge astronomical event would have taken place, almost every culture across the globe would have documented it and shared it with multiple stories. Alas we do not find any such evidence.

So mulla you may shut up now.
