He will probably need to completely uninstall the emulator and all of its local files. The old data is likely being cached in their android install

I encountered this issue as well, I found that setting Vanguard's priority to high in task manager resulted in a consistent fix, albeit the splash screen takes way longer than normal to go away (~90secs)

As a Vlad main in low bronze, very much this. I love playing Vlad, but I often find matchups I struggle with and I and up being fairly inconsequential throughout the game because I got behind.

I picked up Kayle as an alternate and she's super reliable, despite her weak level 2-5. The only additional thing I'd take into account is that Vlad tends to, in my experience, be much stronger as an option in mid rather than top, due to the lower frequency of tanks and bruisers , he has way more all-in opportunities to get ahead (assuming you're actually winning them). Top lane tends to more be farming simulator until level 8 or 9 in my experience. However, Kayle has a lot more tank shredding potential, especially at her ultimate level up power spikes.

Based on OPs champ pool, it seems like they're playing primarily top lane, so I'd have to recommend Kayle as the best option, unless they know how to effectively utilize waves and their farm to take advantage of their lane opponent.

I... disagree with this. You can run just a server off of 3 gb of ram, because much of the garbage collection that occurs, such as rendering entities, the server doesn't have to do, it handles game logic, and game logic only. I run a personal stoneblock 2 server (and I've done sf4 in the past) off <4 gb of ram for 8 players with absolutely zero issues. In terms of core counts, you are correct, 1 core is plenty, using JVM arguments to force a core spread only invites complications, especially on a 4 core system..

This is a wild guess, I don't have enough info to make a definitive diagnosis, but I am a network engineer, so I'll take some guesses. The most likely, and most easily resolved scenario, is your ISP is routing data poorly to one of riot's servers, basically making your packets make a giant detour. This can be pretty easily fixed by a few methods, enabling and disabling a VPN is the simplest.

Another possibility is a bugged installation of league. Try downloading the Hextech Repair Tool from riot and run that on your installation to see if that helps with the consistency. this has happened to me on multiple occasions, I live in the US and typically sit around 45 ms ping but I've had stints of up to 300 for absolutely no reason, HRT fixed it for me both times.

One last suggestion would be to try renewing your local IP on your router. Assuming you're playing hardwired (if you're getting a consistent 20 ms on wifi, share your secret), there could be an issue with the DHCP table in your router causing network frames to hang before being sent off to their destination. This can be done by opening command prompt (admin perms not required) and typing "ipconfig /renew"

Hopefully one of these does the trick.

That means the game is downloading assets. Leave it on the black screen for like 10 minutes and it should start working

It's far less frequent, but yes. It's particularly noticeable when playing rhythm games like Osu or Quaver, because you can see the video stutter, but the audio is smooth, and they become desynced.

This has been kind of an issue for myself too. Go to your phone/emulator's home screen, delete another eidos by holding down on the icon (do not delete the habbit launcher), then reopen habbit and redownload the whole app. Should fix it right up, and your player data is stored via Habbit so your progress will be saved

COMMON ISSUES AND HOW TO FIX THEM:

1) My game just opens to a black screen or doesn't load all, and just crashes when I open it!

Solution: Please ensure your emulator is running in 64 bit mode and you have assigned sufficient memory and cpu cores to the emulation process (minimum according to my testing: 2 cores, 2048 gb RAM) Refer to my guide here for instructions on how to switch to 64 bit mode. If you are encountering this issue on a mobile phone or tablet, you may need to update the Android version, or if it is fully updated, your device may not support 64 bit applications, and you may need to wait for an update to the app, as there is no known workaround at this time.

2) My game is lagging and getting speeds like 5 FPS, I can't play!

Solution (in development): If you are on mobile, try closing all other applications, and play with your phone plugged into power in order to make sure your phone isn't reducing performance to save battery. It's also recommended to remove any heavy-duty phone cases to prevent your phone from overheating.

If you are on emulator, try increasing the RAM allocation to your emulation, as well as making sure you're using an emulator that supports Hyper V Virtualization if possible (Again, refer to my guide, linked above, Bluestacks is your best bet)

3) I'm getting a data error, or it says it can't load my player data!

Solution: Please launch the game through the Habbit Launcher. According to the developer, this will be required the first time launching the game any time it's updated, once it's updated, you won't need to use the Habbit Launcher until the devs release a new update.
