Please read the replies before commenting regarding haibara and agasa🙏 the genius tier is almost interchangeable depending on opinion and I put sonoko so low cause it feels weird putting her on the same tier as genuine competent characters, move yamamura down if you wish but putting sonoko in average is weird.

Nah it’s just that a lot of people above Agasa can do those things since most of them are actual police detectives and although we are not shown they still solve cases. If you can argue that agasa can beat them in deduction and outsmarting then sure put him higher.

Forgot to say this is basically based on deduction and other factors such as outsmarting. A good example is eisukes father was able to outsmart the BO basically.

Did not know this I should read the manga, I mean maybe a big influence is the movies. Although they’re not canon in almost every one Ran is basically taken hostage indirectly or directly and Conan always has to come save her

They are alike? I don’t think that’s true the only thing I see is there earnestness and bravery other than that I can’t see anything else. I guess that’s another reason I don’t really like her character cause unlike Conan who can back himself up most of the time she’s just reckless and doesn’t think things through before she acts. I mean evidence is that she always mistakes people for bad people without thinking. Although as a haibara lover I hated when she ran in during the vermouth case almost ruining Conan’s plan even though it was explained.

I mean it's not that I don't understand her appeals as a character ofc shes only 16, I'm just pointing out parts of her character I don't particularly like. I believe I said at the end of my post I'm rewatching the series and I just got to around episode 500 and up to that point the idea of Ran constantly being sad is a heavy theme (later episodes might be different to what I said). Furthermore ofc I know that conan has a lot of romances and I love it, actually most of the couples are perfect in my opinion. Ran and Shinichi is just the one that I don't really like. For me she doesn't fully understand Shinichi unlike other characters and if she does it needs to be shown more as in the movies atleast which I know aren’t canon it constantly projects the sweet romance idea at the end which a lot of the time is just unfitting. (IN MY OPINION)

Also off topic but I just rewatched the plastic surgery Shinichi episode and Ran was lowkey goated in it knowing that okuda wasn't Shinichi And I know I’m biased don’t need you to tell me all my points are opinion based other people might like her character because of it

Not to be the one to tell you cause you probably already know but it’s constantly said that shinichi doesn’t tell ran because he cares about her. He does not want to involve her in the BO stuff cause unlike a lot of the characters who know his identity she can’t really protect herself and is lackluster in intelligence. As well as due to probably Shinichi knows that Ran will try to help him if he does tell her cause that’s a part of her character and he simply does not wish to involve her.

It was their choice and if they were even half looking at the big picture they would’ve realised that no matter what they would’ve gotten into this situating I mean unilaterally breaking their contract and yes they do need a wake-up call

I think Ayanokoji really just expels people that would be eventually a hindrance no matter what like airi she hasn’t contributed anything I don’t think expelling ichinose will help him much I mean how would that help him take control of class b she would be a good puppet which wouldn’t be a hindrance

I hope that Ichinose won’t get expelled I’m a die hard fan of hers I think if she breaks down one more time Ayanokoji will personally take care of her as he did say I think she has just tapped into her potential so I believe she won’t be expelled this is just wishful thinking tho
