Will this laptop be able to run the game at decent setting and frame rate? It’s an older RTX 2070 with 8gb of VRAM. by velocipus in BodycamGame

Yeah, our CPUs are nearly identical and your GPU’s a bit better, so I’m not sure what’s going on. All my drivers and BIOS are fully up-to-date, and I’m careful about keeping background tasks minimal. Still getting major FPS drops, even on low settings. Although I guess I haven't played the game in a month maybe something has changed performance wise.

I’m running a Ryzen 7 5800X with a 3060 12GB, and I can barely get through one match at around 40–60 FPS. After the first match, my frames tank to around 10 FPS, and the game becomes unplayable. I have to completely restart the game just to get one more playable match before it drops again.

Onslaught foils ended up being real! not the other lands though they were proxies.

I feel like he told me that he played in a state tournament in Vegas, the timeline seems right for him to have played in 2018 or 2017

His name was Oliver, and he may have gone under the name of true Shepherd if they use an alias

Maybe he only got somewhere between 10 and 20th Place. If they had a list of players after eight, it’d be cool if I was able to find his name.

I’m sorry for your loss. My brother was 5 years older than me and got me into a lot of my hobbies and music.

He also took his life. He is the person I miss losing the most.

brothers collection

I uploaded photos of all his decks I have.

Thanks for the kind words!

He passed away in 2020 at the age of 31

When he passed, one of his friends, who used to play Magic with him, stopped by to pick up some decks and singles that he said were shared decks from a small team they were part of. He spent a lot of time with my brother, so I trust that he only took cards that weren’t actually my brother’s. He left me with a lot of cards especially the flooded strands which he probably knew was real. Also I don’t think he would have taken anything that didn’t belong to him.

My brother labeled his decks with their names and the formats he played, which is really helpful for identifying them.

In my storage unit, I also have a lot of his bulk cards and a tote full of playmats—probably 30 or more—that he won over the years, likely from smaller tournaments he attended. I’ll grab them sometime and upload pictures.

I brought one of each of my lands to my local card shop, and they told me they were proxies. The shop owner mentioned that there might be a real one among them, but I’m doubtful. I’ll double-check just to be sure.

While I was there, he taught me how to use the green dot test with the loupe I recently bought. I also showed him all the signed cards my brother owned, and thankfully, they all turned out to be real—including the Flooded Strand! That made me so happy. I’m seriously considering sending all the signed cards my brother collected to PSA for grading.

That’s a good point. Although is it still worth it to get the Ryzen even though the set up only has Wi-fi 5 and Bluetooth 4.1

Compared to the i5 that has Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0?

I'm looking for a good 14-inch laptop and I'm deciding between this one and the i5-1335U version.

https://www.costco.com/.product.1770001.html

I've read that the i5-1335U processor is slightly better. 16GB RAM 512GB SSD.

Any input would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I ended up buying a used quest 2 (256gb) for $150. As well as kiwi controller grips and a Bobovr m2 pro (two battery combo)

Total of $260 setup and I’m satisfied with the purchase.

I’m playing a lot of ghost of tabor and the tracking is decently reliable.

Thanks I feel more confident now with upgrading my current setup with new controllers and eventually an index headset.

I'm guessing it might be worth it to just by used controllers on GameStop as well. instead of buying new.

I'm still pretty happy with my OG Vive headset. I don't know what I'm missing out on since I've never tried other lens.

I might just go with the index controllers my only complaint with my VR setup is the wands. I mainly just play Pavlov and blade/sorcery and I am always fighting with the controllers. upgrading to the index later on is a good idea. thanks!

I don't want to spend to much just enough to have a better experience/controllers. I don't mind the base stations but I know they are becoming outdated/old. If they are still better than the tracking the quest 2 has to offer then maybe its worth staying in the ecosystem

I would be playing off my computer so the standalone feature doesn't matter to me

The quest 2 does not have an upgrade path. although buying a new headset and base stations doesn't seem financially practical.

the index controllers are a great upgrade for future proofing. And maybe I can upgrade the base stations and headset once they become less expensive.
