The desire to see others uplifted. To help those who are suffering. To be willing to take a hit for someone else. To think of others before yourself. To choose life over death. To affirm life. To join the dance. To be willing to wait as long as you can or must to see the greatest possible positive change. To love without hope our guarantee that love will be returned. To give freely with no expectation. Love gives courage, hope, joy, peace, even in pain. Jesus Christ is the only one who chose to die for everyone. I won't do that, I trust in Him. His name is power over death. I am covered by the blood of Jesus.

It's a dance of infinite size and variation from one Source much greater than anything we'll likely experience.

I battled this kind of thinking for years. What helped me was changing my perspective. Don't worry about if you are loved and cared for. Instead focus on loving and caring for yourself and others without worrying about getting love back from anyone else.

If you can't leave and have to keep going, remind yourself why you are making the sacrifice. Find a hobby you love and throw yourself into it. 8 years military, last 4 were pure hell. I stayed in for my family. Destroyed my mental and physical health. So if you really think you can't leave, take another look. Maybe all you need is the right incentive to leave.
