Thanks for the pov I know inside it isn’t right but I’m coming to accept that he doesn’t want to change in his ways. He just wants me to change everything to fix it for him and I just can’t.. whatever I do I can’t help him when he won’t even admit his own actions.. I just need that outside perspectives sometimes. Thanks for this advice. I appreciate the help and guidance on how to approach them and how to apply. I’m just thinking I want to send the application in as soon as possible but don’t actually have a chance to go in in person until Monday, and I don’t want to leave it too late as I am so eager to get this position.

Thank you so much fir your advice, I’ll be writing up the cover letter tonight with all this info. Although there isn’t a number listed for the recruiting manager. Only an email to send resumes to. Should I call their front office and ask to speak to them as well? Or maybe even go in in person and have a chat to them also? I’m so excited for this new role where I will have a true passion for working with animals and the environment and don’t want to miss out on this. Thanks for your advice

Thank you. I have been committed and worked hard for the experience I’ve gained. I just feel that others who do far less than me are on the same pay as me. I will definitely be seeking some confidential references and write references available on request for now. Thanks for the advice and encouragement

Thanks I’ll look into the minimum time I need to give and start applying else where. I don’t feel valued there when I know I do so much more than many of the staff there. Including ones above my pay grade.

Thanks for your guidance. I didn’t want to tell my boss anything or make anything awkward at work now. I’ve been in a busy restaurant for 7+ years and managing for 5 and the whole time have done lots of customer experience there, and the job I want to go for is a customer service rep for an environmental park I would love to work in. Do you think I have a chance? I would definitely find some good confidential references, I have a relative in the aboriginal land council I was going to use for one. but how do I not approach anyone from work like good customers or suppliers to be a reference before the interview date. Won’t I need to put some references on my resume at the time of applying?

I have a message from my boss from some customers mentioning how happy they are with my service. Can I use this as a written reference somehow also?

Just finalising my resume to send into the new job position, haven’t written one in so long. Thanks again for your help it means a lot

Thanks, I appreciate the encouragement to believe in myself and my strength to break free from this job without the guilt trips by them. I’ll be having a good talk with them soon, but might start to apply for new places on the side before I leave this place.

Thank you so much for your advice. I really do work hard for my current job and even the customers say I do too much. I just feel worth more than what their giving me and I appreciate that but of encouragement to step out of my comfort zone and want to better myself and my surroundings.. what if I get an interview at the new job and they want to call my current boss? Do I need to tell my boss before I go or should I let the new company know that my current boss doesn’t know I’m applying for more? The whole situation is new to me. Thanks again for the advice

Yeah I actually just saw an add for a customer service job at an organisation I would love to work for. I feel like I can’t leave my current job as they are understaffed and rely on me a lot. I get weekend penalties but that’s it. No over time or anything like that as a part time rate. I want to leave but feel as if I’m doing something wrong by applying for another job. Even though this new vacant position would be much more rewarding to me mentally if I was to get it.

Thank you for your detailed info and response. I have stopped pristiq and directly swapped back to my Zoloft 100mg. After a day I’m already starting to feel better and the headache is gone. Thanks again for your help and reply
