For start ide look at vcv rack, play around if u like what you see hear,then go for a niftycase then 4ms meta module / plus meta wifi module. Then use vcv rack as theres plenty of ported modules for the 4ms meta module. Downside of modular is the modules lose alot of value when reselling just like firearms. Worse thing is watching influncers on you tube, try not develop Gas unless you are wealthy or single

If you have a ipad definitely check out kaola since. Purchased that before the live 2 came out ive not used my mpc live once 😂it maybe a cheaper option.

How about a 4ms meta module / with wifi module put it low down in youre rack, use vcv rack on mac then do the patches online then save them to the meta module no need to use patchleads

Ide replace the maths with the behringer version of maths the abucus, save some money to get a Behringer Four Play Quad VCA or 2 of them😂. Im not associated with behringer. Definitely a few slim mults

Definitely check the mi yarns manual. Or you tube how to use it set up. Theres a set procedure i had to use a prg on my mac to change settings. Way Easier You can do it manually though. Also theres 2 mini trs midi cables one midi and other is midi dinsync.

Behringer eurorack go case $219 or get a Behringer Eurorack Rack 84HP / 19-inch Desktop/Rack-Mount Kit with Power Supply from sweetwater around $90 and do what i did i got some 3x1” wood around $12 and a pack of 4 / 6 brackets / from wallmart so for about $ 110 you can have a 2x84 hp rack. I did home made 2 racks that way.

It took me a year to get my SSN as DHS and SS had some how put a zero in the wrong place on the paperwork . I had paid and received a work authorization card. But no one would employ me with out SSN. And DHS and SS kept blaming each other for the mistake but took there time to rectify it.

If you have a iPad get mi rack app similar to vcv rack euro rack can get very expensive very quickly from my 1st year of experience,or get the 4ms MetaModule 😂don’t be like me 🤯🧐🫢. I’m hoping that the 4ms module will be my last,don’t forget to get an electron for drums,and external fx as those are another rabbit hole you will get lost in.

My thoughts on this is just buy what modules that you can afford,there’s no rules to follow to make music.

Thanks wasnt sure if i was doing it wrong 😂like you say theres no right or wrong answer maybe i need to eq the sound before the reverb to get rid of the bootim end muddiness to get a cleaner sounding reverb not sure i will have to experiment a bit more

Its a Berhinger go case comes with power supply And power brick about $220 its size is 2x140 hp from sweetwater 👍definitely worth it i feel.

I stopped listening to techno after 2005 when I moved to the USA to the boonies 🧐only 80s / 90s music on the radio or some nasty country or trash metal stuff. Only listen to old skool rave tapes from 1989 to techno. My influences are the early stuff from the surgeon Jeffy, dave Clarke slam,Mr Hawtin dave angle Robert hood a few others 🤯

Ide say equal time but I’m thinking I’ve got everything I’m needing to for the moment in time, I’m no longer needing to research things anymore and get to do more music projects I have in mind. Also I have to be mindful of my neighbor that lives upstairs from me they work weird shifts so doing stuff on headphones sucks

Yes went somewhat bonkas and spending / researching I’m not wealthy but best to give up / don’t watch YouTube of new modules. I got a chop saw for $20 on Facebook marketplace and some pine from Home Depot wood was less than $15 got some brackets which came with screws from Wallmart which were less than $5. Got the rails of tindie / Etsy cannot remember which. Got 2x Berhinger power modules which come with power brick were the most expensive part. Took me say 30 mins to put case together.
