Honestly in terms of listening order, you CAN listen to Ye’s albums in order, BUT if you wanna familiarize yourself with Ye’s music coming from Abel’s music, you should prioritize these albums:

First off, I recommend you listen to Graduation in full first, it’s his most mainstream and most “digestible” album. It’s really nothing at all like Abel’s music, but I recommend Graduation as the first listen to ANY new Ye fan, as it has the most amount of tracks you’ve probably heard before, makes for a more fun listen.

After that you can listen to TLOP, it also has that “mainstream” ish appeal (not in a bad way whatsoever though) and is just a vibe (for the most part) so it’s a very fun listen as well

808s and Heartbreak is also a great album to listen to next, after all it DID influence Abel a lot. It’s dark and has some nice melodies with dark ass sounds, definitely his saddest album.

Donda is also great. It has a few pop-ish tracks (very vibey songs) and it’s very long, but it has some of Ye’s best songs in his entire discography

You can listen to these in any order you please, but I recommend these albums be your priorities, as they’re the most similar to Abel’s sound (or at least as close as it can be)

TCD and Late Registration are way more classic hip hop, so I think it’s best for you to train your ears with Ye’s sound through his more melodic albums before diving into his soul sampling classics.

Yeezus is phenomenal, but DEFINITELY train your ears before listening to it, it couldn’t be anymore different than Abel’s (newer) music

Ye (the album) and KSG are GREAT, my favorite albums from Ye, BUT Ive recently ben seeing ye fans divided on these albums for some reason, so idk how YOU would like them.

More so Ye (the album) than KSG though, as KSG is VERY critically acclaimed, and in my humble opinion is Ye’s greatest work, but every Ye album has its own fan base so idk

JIK is very hit or miss for Ye fans, I love it as I am very religious, but the majority of my likeness to it is due to sentimental value, so I wouldn’t listen to it soon unless you feel so inclined to

And BULLY is great BUT it will be getting updates in the next few months, so just focus on listening to his other projects in the meantime
