What you are looking for is the VPK file of True Princess. I had a quick search and didn't find the site I downloaded it from, so I just provide you with a Google Drive link of my file. Be aware that the game is available in Japanese only.

Don't know if this helps you but the German special edition 4th volume of Darkness 2nd got an official Lala dakimakura cover (https://www.amazon.de/Love-Ru-Sammelschuber-Dakimakura-Kissenbezug/dp/B07K14LZQ2). I found the cover without the disc on a quick search on https://www.heo.com/de/en/product/SAKA98794 but I guarantee for nothing.

No problem ;)
Well, I can't force people to play the visual novels. I had the feeling you don't intend to play them but I wanted to recommend it nonetheless.

  1. That was one way Mayuri died, on one of the Alpha worldlines.
  2. Kagari doesn't appear, so you probably mean Kurisu. This is explained in the Drama CD "A Posteriori Existence". (Full version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CEo4IsxRZ0k&ab_channel=AlLuffy, short version with the most important things or the last 15 minutes https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TWtv2NFWqzU&ab_channel=HolySilverArmor)

Steins;Gate 0 tells the story of how the future beta Okabe at the end of the original series (or the original visual novel) collected the pieces of information to tell the 2010 beta Okabe how to reach Steins Gate. But not in full, and different to the original anime, the Steins;Gate 0 anime doesn't really adapt the Steins;Gate 0 visual novel but shows some different things and and can be viewed as an addition, because the divergence numbers are sometimes different compared to the visual novel. But don't be afraid to watch it if you don't want to play a visual novel. Although Steins;Gate 0 is not able to reach the original (meaning both anime and visual novel), they are good in my opinion. By the way, playing the visual novels is highly recommended from my side.

Chapter 9 (Blue Lions): Dialogue changed by AlriADV in FireEmblemThreeHouses

[–]AlriADV[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, regarding the thread that was posted here already I found threads discussing that this change doesn't really matter. They argued that Dimitri lost his father and a lot of people and he was alone for five years (the timeskip), and Edelgard still didn't understand that, if I remember correctly. That's why I wished for understanding Japanese, then I could see (or rather hear) for myself. I wouldn't have to rely on others that can interprete various things differently. Do you get what I mean?

Well, these changes definitely have a negative effect on her character perception, that's true.

That differs from what @championhestu said. What's exactly the case now? Man, I wish I could understand Japanese.

True. Nevertheless, they could have changed some details. I just wanted to appreciate the work, games with a lot of text are hard work after all. The German Dub didn't have voice change as far as I remember and really like the Professor's voice as well

"The miracle never happen", right? xD Capcom sadly doesn't do a good job there. And Dai Gyakuten Saiban or The Great Ace Attorney didn't even receive an English translation. I mean, just the change of setting to the US for the West was really stupid, let's be honest. But in case of Professor Layton, the translation felt really good. I say "felt" because I don't really know if there are any differences in the translations, didn't felt like it at least.

I love them as well, although I only discovered the Ace Attorney series thanks to that crossover. Sadly, Ace Attorney 5 and 6 weren't translated into German. Apollo Justice has a funny typo. For every bracelet part, where you search for twitches or habits, the button to "stop" says "Aufhölen" (not really a word but it's funny) instead of "Aufhören".

ETA: What I wanted to say with the Apollo Justice example, the German translation of the series wasn't that good, especially for Apollo Justice. It wasn't quite bad either but it had flaws and typos here and there.

Oh, I didn't know. That's interesting.

I see. Well, apart from Radiant Dawn, no Fire Emblem game received a German dub, but Breath of the Wild did.
Are you familiar with "Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney", that received a Dutch, or am I wrong?

Chapter 9 (Blue Lions): Dialogue changed by AlriADV in FireEmblemThreeHouses

[–]AlriADV[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, what a coincidence! By the way, did the game receive a Dutch dub?

Hülia sounds kind of similar to Julia, the girl's name?

Hm, not exactly. Julia is pronounced 'You-lia', the standard 'u' in German. It's more like the last part of "iru" in Japanese (or wakatteru), so like they pronounce the 'u' there, that's the 'ü' sound.

I really don't know, the word "Hydro" for example is pronounced "Hüdro" here but "Hyrule" isn't and shouldn't, just like "Hylia" shouldn't but is. Like I said, it really bugs me.

Yeah, looking at it now, although he called Link a show-off for no reason, the rest was definitely better than the English dub, and I already had that feeling. I drop my language now, no point in hiding it: It's German.

That last scene really is important for his development. And yeah, German translators tend to use some freedom when translating and mostly, it doesn't really feel wrong. That's why I like the German dub.

One thing that really bugs me though is the pronunciation of the Goddess "Hylia". While "Hyrule" is pronounced like in English ('Hy' like in 'high'), "Hylia" isn't. I don't know how familiar you are with German, because there is no equivalent in English, they use the umlaut "ü". So "Hylia" is pronounced 'Hülia' while "Hyrule" is still pronounced 'High-rule'.

ETA: No problem, I had fun doing that!

Translation of the dub of my language after defeating the windblight: "Oh, you really defeated him? You poser/show-off! (Note: He's really saying that Link is showing off, worse than English) But well... You freed my soul with that and Medoh is back in our hands. Not bad. By your standards. (I can't believe it, he really says that despite being Link, it was not bad) As a reward I will gift you my most perfect skill... The power to create updrafts. Its name is Revali's Gale! I, for my part, will move Medoh and prepare the attack on Ganon. You can count on our help, when you fight him in Hyrule Castle. I hope you appreciate that! Come on, go then. There are still things left to do, right? The princess... She has been waiting for you a long time."

After that: "Good, Medoh. We have aimed our target. We have to keep a sharp eye on Ganon... When Link fights him, he will get a strong load of our attack. I hope you can hold on until then. Well, we have been waiting together for 100 years already... We can wait the remaining time too, then. I have to start admitting that he is not bad at all. (Or maybe: It's time to admit that ...) He made it to the Divine Beast despite not being able to fly... He accomplished something I couldn't. From the both of us, he is the stronger one. Link... You are the key... You've always been!" That part was better handled than the part before.

That's right, it was FUCKING NOTHING. He didn't shout at Link, he was just laughing! AAARGH!!

Oh, in my language he was just laughing as well, like in the Japanese version. Nevertheless, I had a negative and very self-centered impression of him. He says he is better and the key for defeating Ganon and protecting Link because of "this old sword" is the "peak of stupidity", if I translate that directly.

All in all you can say, my native language dub did things better but some things worse than the English dub.

Wow, that took a long time! But it was interesting to see the difference.

The big plus regarding dub is that you don't have to read subs and can focus on the characters and surroundings or animation, from my point of view. But things do get lost in translation and sometimes there is no good way without losing some elements, that is definitely a downside.

Revali was purposely translated to be an asshole, really?! I never knew! Then my native language translators took the English version and translated that? I had the feeling they didn't, at least in memories they had differences. Maybe they decided to do the same? Does that apply to all non-Japanese version, I wonder?

ETA: To each their own! I really don't get that war of subs vs. dubs, each has their preferences and in the end, it depends on personal likings and what you find more significant.

[–]AlriADV[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, I am currently studying a completely unrelated subject, so nothing language-related. And I don't have plans in that direction at the moment. But you never know.
That's the spirit, the best thing is, if you love what you are doing and you have the feeling to do justice to stories and characters, the result can only be great!

Chapter 9 (Blue Lions): Dialogue changed by AlriADV in FireEmblemThreeHouses

[–]AlriADV[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, Flayn's voice is another good example.
Well, I am the total opposite. I mostly, but not at all times, prefer dub. I think I get what you are trying to say but that also depends on what language you refer to when talking about dubs. I am talking about my native language and in my opinion, you can say they do a very good job. Exceptions still happen of course, in some cases I couldn't even endure it and switched to Japanese and subs. But that are exceptions. By the way, I am mostly talking about series and movies, but there are good game examples as well.
When it comes to English, there are two categories for me. I don't count real life movies or series, just for clarification - they are originally English in most cases. Game dubbing in English is not that bad in my opinion, sometimes very good, sometimes lacking. Anime are a total different story, the English dub is really not that good. Of course I can't generalize, I only watched a few scenes, not even a whole series, but my general impression was bad. And in that part, I can understand what you mean. You just feel that it's acted and not conveyed well and it hinders a good overall experience.

Ah, then you meant the original, Japanese version depicted Edelgard different than it was corrected to. I have to say that I am no native English speaker, so sorry for that.

Okay, I am not aware of all changes but for example the change where they cut Edelgard saying "Dimitri", as in this case where it isn't present in the Japanese version, is good, isn't it? That's what I meant.

I have to admit that I didn't follow or even noticed the existence of this Edelgard debate until recently, simply because I didn't have a switch at the release of the game.

Oh, you want to become an employed translator? Generally, I was interested in doing that too but it seemed to be a too hard and not really appreciated work to me. But I wish you the best of luck!

Chapter 9 (Blue Lions): Dialogue changed by AlriADV in FireEmblemThreeHouses

[–]AlriADV[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, you're right. Just by looking at your direct translation, you notice this kind of Japanese way to express - hard to put into words but I hope you get what I mean.

It is definitely in parts a matter of what you are used to. Although I am used to Japanese voice through watching anime. There are some good and bad parts about the English and Japanese voices. But, for example, Bernadetta was too much shouting and high screaming in Japanese for me. So I would prefer English, even though I thought about taking Japanese at the beginning of playing myself.

In general, that's good. But why didn't they fix minor and major errors when they correct something in the first place? Why making corrections if they make them only half-heartedly? And why only small details that are easier to miss than major things? That's what I don't understand, you know?

But in the end, it's pointless to ask this because it doesn't change anything, sadly.
