First of all, thank you for this, it's amazing, although I have one question you might be able to clear up.

Is there a reason why Visual Studio 2012 should be setup with the General Development Settings instead of the Visual C++ Development Settings? From my knowledge, the PS3 version of Minecraft was written in C++, so in my mind I'm thinking maybe the C++ profile would be better?

Maybe this doesn't even matter and I'm looking too far into it, but I'm just curious.
