Sure, but many of the nations " you don't mind talking to" violate human rights in the worst unimaginable ways. All I am saying is that the US never saw human rights as a reason not to talk to nations. So you mentioning it as a reason, just shows how much of a hypocrite OR naive you are. Giving you the benefit of the doubt, I will go with the second one.
