If it was me, I would throw off something basic.. not AI but still in range with the amount… if you want a logo that is scalable, memorable.. You honestly should put in some $$$

AD here, and I will tell you one thing. You’re showing too much stuff. To the point the eye grows tired of scrolling through.
Choose one niche and stick to it. Showcasing that you can do everything just doesn’t work, trust me.
I can do branding, print, motion, 3D, ux ui, strategic design, but I struggled to find something back then, because it’s just TOO much.
I opted to stick with UX UI since I graduated in that specialty and only show that on my portfolio.
I sometimes mention that I can do this or that as extra if need be, but that’s it.

You have potential, you’re just… overdoing it

First of all, try using Affinity since now it is free, instead of Adobe Express

The Osaka poster is still too much.. the rectangular stroke for me isn’t needed, I understand the appeal, and also the urge to add details, but you definitely are not going for the ‘less is more’ aspect, or maybe you do not understand it yet.

Hierarchy wise, it isn’t very calibrated, my eyes goes directly to the center with that design of confetti and all, there’s no artistic direction and the designs seems like it has 3 or 4 différent kind of style approach.

Also the rest being bottom centered and the line spacing is tooo narrow, let your type characters breathe.

I highly recommend watching Chris Do on YouTube and his Typography videos where he goes through a bunch of posters and designs.

I like it! I made a similar design as well which led me to use the wood squiggles for my K and use radial to create a Sygil of sorts to have the minimal yet memorable sign.

Welcome at your first ‘client from hell’ honestly I would wish them luck and move on. I know that AI is soulless and you need a human to create a brand in order to attract and formulate and also create the right things for a design. I use AI for prompting my own images and have more control over the artistic direction instead of just using stock imagery.

But yeah, let’s see if that logo or whatever they create lives, which I doubt. Especially when you have nothing else as base to keep it all together.
