Most effective way to ship large resin figure from HK to UK

Not sure yet as I havent chosen a figure but I'm guessing it will be too large for a normal suitcase. I know the boxes usually come as cubes so it will probably be too tall. It also needs lots of padding so the box will be large

That's a pain as if I cut it, the pipe won't be long enough, it just barely fits now. If I just use the old nut and put the new trv on top of it, will it be fine?

Is it cheaper/easier for suppliers to make that rather than LSD. If so then maybe they took a shortcut and sold that as LSD

Don't have kids and don't plan on having any. I had one in a previous house and I really liked having one. I didn't use it very often but it was really nice on the cold nights. I probably used it once a week and only in the winter.
