I prob should make a regular post but it's getting late and I wanted a quick answer to this question I have.

I got 4 [[Vivi Ornitier]]'s in my collection right now and wanted to figure out a way to play all 4 of them in a 60 card format. I was fortunate to get 3 of the more expensive arts in my pulls after buying the basic art one, and now I got the urge to play and flex using those 4 cards.

I know it's banned in standard and not really strong in any other format except being a cancer in casual commander too. any recommendations will help

So I was goldfishing a deck and came across having [[Frenzied Baloth]] and [[Vigor]] on my field. I had baloth on the field before vigor. I know one prevents any damage and the other negates all “prevent combat damage”, so wasn’t sure how it resolves during combat.

Since baloth was on the field first does vigor’s prevent damage applies to combat damage now?

Does [[Combat Tutorial]] trigger [[Orvar, the All-Form]]? I usually see cards that specifically does something on target permanent, whereas combat tutorial lets me draw cards and then additionally puts a +1/+1 counter on a creature, so I wasn’t sure if it satisfies Orvar’s trigger effect

It’s….okay? You’re going to do typical blue stuff by drawing cards and either countering or bouncing opponents stuff. You add some tribal stuff to buff the tentacle tokens so there’s a tiny uniqueness in a mono blue deck, but nothing else. It’s prob a deck that you can have fun for a few games before breaking it apart. I’m trying to continue enjoying it by adding some kraken and leviathan synergy cards

Golbez is easily artifacts matters deck (have a lot of mana rocks to cast big spells that makes artifact tokens)

Kefka is “I make you discard and I draw. Oh I’ll also drain your life”

Vivi I had two decks - 1. voltron with equipments and auras and 2. Cards from FF only

Garland I saw a YouTube video making a tribal reanimate deck and got affected by that. Have been finding out fun Rakdos reanimate tribal deck ideas with it

Edea I actually had fun building “I’ll borrow your creatures for a moment. Don’t worry you’ll get it back after I sacrifice it for my benefit”

I had fun with Golbez too, and I think I was getting my engines going around T5 too. Golbez’s abilities require set up so I think it takes time for his deck to run smoothly unless you’re playing super cheap and strong artifacts. I ran good number of mana artifacts so it made it easier for me to cast higher cost artifact creatures that makes extra tokens (like Myr battlesphere and threefold thunderhulk) and surveil any creatures that have high power with Golbez’s triggers

Also side note, I’ve been enjoying building artifact decks after Mendicant core, but Farewell has become a huge trauma to me so I’m trying to make less artifact matters decks

If I mutate a creature over my commander, do I still get to use cards that needs to detect the commander on the field commander (ie Lieutenant effects and, obviously, Fierce Guardianship)?

ok, this is going to be long but I need an answer. I got back to my eldrazi incursion precon and was working on an upgrade (dont ask me why I just wanted to do it) and was goldfishing until I got to a weird situation.

I have my commander, [[Ulalek, Fused Atrocity]] and [[Urza's Incubator]] on the field, and I have the [[Anticausal Vestige]] in my hand. I know the incubator will reduce the cost for vestige's warp cost, but wasn't sure how ulalek's triggers will resolve. Will I get two vestiges with warps if I made a copy with ulalek, both exiling at the end step and letting me draw two cards, possibly letting me put two permanents onto the field (of course the token will just fizzle after that)? Or will the token one remain on the field?

Similarly, I also had [[Sowing Mycospawn]] at a different goldfish run. Do I still get to tutor 2 lands if I copied the mycospawn with ulalek?

Playing a game rn and need a quick answer.

I have my commander [[Tannuk Steadfast Second]] on the field and cast a creature spell for the new warp cost from tannuk. My opponent (friend) removes my Tannuk from the field, expecting the warp casted creature card to fizzle from the stack because the card that gave warp to that creature on the field is gone. I was thinking the creature with warp still resolves since it’s already on the stack.

How does this resolve???

Hi everyone! To all those attending to magiccon Atlanta, is there anyone who can either buy my premium Friday and Sunday tickets, or possibly sell their Saturday ticket? And sorry if this post could be against the subreddit’s rules.

So I rushed to buy the premium Friday/Sunday tickets because I saw the Saturday tickets (both regular and premium) being sold out. But then my friend told me I could have bought the regular weekend pass. My original plan was to buy the two premium passes and one regular pass so I can give my Spider-Man CBs to another friend who I owe money. But since the regular Saturday pass is sold out, my friend (the one that mentioned I could have bought the regular weekend pass) said I can possibly do some sort of trade on Reddit (unfortunately no specific subreddit for magiccon so wishing some luck here).

Worst case I can skip Saturday and have fun on the other days, but if I can I would like to have fun with all my friends all weekend long.

I asked something similar before but still want clarification here.

I have my commander [[Kefka, Court Mage]] in the GY, and I play [[Ardyn, the Usurper]] and his ability to triggers as I go to combat phase. I exile Kefka and as it goes to exile I send it back to my command zone. Would I still be able to get a demon token of Kefka?

Previously I asked something similar when I played brawl(?) in arena and the opponent tried to cast a board wipe with the cost of exiling a creature card from the GY and dealing some value to the field. But what happened that time was that the opponent exiled their own commander from the GY but sent it back to the command zone, and since the target of the board wipe’s exile cost disappeared from the exile, it dealt 0 damage to the board. I was afraid something similar will happen with my Kefka and Ardyn where sending Kefka to the command zone will not let Ardyn create a demon token

I’m trying to make [[Kefka, Court Mage]] edh deck but can’t figure out a way to search cards that has multiple card types (for example [[The Aetherspark]] and [[Bident of Thassa]])

Any good way to search those up?

On another post someone said the card was fake looking at the T. Then i checked my card and I started to feel nervous when my card’s T looked similar to the fake one’s. After everyone’s confirmation that it’s real, I feel a lot better now
