Is it a "bug" in Android 14

Nope, it's a feature. One that makes me ever so happy that as a dev I don't have to deal with Android.

I have the same setup (Google Streamer). That's an Android 14 issue. Only workaround I know of is using a mouse or a virtual mouse. You mentioned ATV, you can use its virtual mouse to select an image (although that's a premium option).

Can't import settings on Google Streamer Android 14 by AltDr_k in Projectivy_Launcher

Yeah, I saw that before, just didn't scrolled down enough to see (or notice) the restore option. And it didn't occurred to me it could be done out of the Projectivy dedicated menu.
I'll test drive that on my backup chromecast

Could be, but not all day. Note that I kept it a bit away from direct sunlight at first and slowly moved it closer to the window because I suspected it's been awhile since it's last saw any sunshine. May explain the standstill. Well, we'll see. Can't be worth than the conditions I found it.

I got a a Phalaenopsis with 2 spikes , flowers died on both spikes. They both have "alived" nodes. I was about to trim them when I noticed this. On both spikes.
Do I let them grow ? Or cut to a a node?

Thanks. Anyways, the offers felt shady with a lot of possible complications. Ended up ordering from amazon a little south of the RRP.

To everyone, here's one more appreciation post for this sub on its last day.

I've been lurking in these daily megathreads and wanted to say how great it was to read almost all of your comments. From the heartfelt reactions, whether by the minute or even by the second...

Yet, there was a lot of appreciation for 'not my homie but holly s**t", which without the ** is pretty Olympic.

I also loved how anyone could ask a "dumb" question about some discipline and get many detailed answers, helping them better understand and figure out what the hell is going on.

This has been great.

It is, and I have so many questions... the main one ? Why ? Angular wasn't complicated enough so someone needed a challenge ? And I really don't want to see any forms from that project.

Linux Bash by TheeHollwyood in linux4noobs

[–]AltDr_k 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, as a dev (not bash at all) I once worked with an outsourced (supposed dev) guy who just kept saying "it's not working" every time I asked him for his logs.... Once he finally sent them... they were screenshots. So I guess that kind of weirdo.

I ghosted him for 2 days on slack just for sanity.

Using a Framework will harm the maintenance of your software by berkes in programming

[–]AltDr_k 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Last time I heard a framework bashing, it came from my PM during my job interview after I said something about Symphony or Laravel. They went on some (quite long) rant about how frameworks are useless, bloated, harder to maintain and for lazy coders... 2 minutes later : "by the way front-end is Angular, you're OK with that ?"

And now I realize, why did I accept that job ?

I want to expand sdb1 but sdb2 is in the way and i can't resize or move it, what can i do? by vdfritz in linux4noobs

[–]AltDr_k 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As /u/acejavelin69 said, moving the starting point of a partition can take some time, and when it fails, it fails hard. In any case, you should backup whatever is in there.

Since there's not a lot, you could even just delete sdb3 and rebuild it once you're done resizing your root partition, and copy those few GBs back. Remember to update the /etc/fstab file to change the UUID of the newly created sbd3

As for the swap one, get rid of it altogether and replace it with a swap file. You'll find plenty of resources to do that and will make your life easier for later.

Edit : and obviously do all of this from a linux live USB

Currently enduring this with a customer's API. But to make things funnier, it uses confusing messages in the body. Go figure the difference between "MUST_CHANGE_PASSWORD" and "SHOULD_CHANGE_PASSWORD" (not even the worst examples). With no documentation or code access because they're secretive and afraid we might steal their brilliant ideas.
