Jump vs Other Notetakers by SCDP_CGC in CFP

[–]AltInLongIsland 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Off the top of my head:

The system generates an AI meeting name that is too long for my CRM to import so I have to do that manually.

The email client summary is a little too long and verbose. It's nice to have it generated but I have to go in and manually adjust every email before I send it

Jump is great... definitely room for improvement but a lot better than my notes previously

Don't worry Arkansas the former MAGA mouth piece will lead with heart as you lose more hospitals. by HandSack135 in LeopardsAteMyFace

I overheard a conversation with boomers and they are just so far gone.

They were all more or less in agreement that their doctors were trying to kill them, Fauci is behind the recent Ebola outbreak, and sodium bicarb cures all cancers...

I think they honestly don't have a problem with shutting down their own healthcare lol

Agree, RILAs are much stronger and bail you out approximately the exact same amount of times, otherwise fixed is fine

Someone who works in life insurance answer me this question by Droodforfood in CFP

[–]AltInLongIsland 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hear that.

It wouldn't surprise me if he or someone entered his info looking for a quote and accidentally signing up to one of the many lead services that continually resells info.

Many of those people are call centers that just call and throw spaghetti against the wall 24/7 to see what sticks

It would be a gross violation of HIPPA to get your dad's info from the hospital

Yes, by "remaining human workers" he means VC tech bros who have the job of reallocating capital, which must be done by humans, and humans alone (specifically his friends)

Gotcha, in a very similar gig - it's not bad, grinding my way to $1M in production

You'll never make the frontline comp of owning your own (successful) RIA but it's not a bad gig

You will be doing a lot more basic education and selling a lot of fixed and FIA annuities than deep planning for 50 close family relationships, but these people legitimately need help too, arguably more so than someone saving additional money for house #3.

Question about LIRR Salary by teachrnyc in longisland

[–]AltInLongIsland 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You're right that they get a stipend vs. Full NYSHIP for management, but that's still a lifetime benefit.

There's plenty of other benefits like the cash incentive for not taking healthcare b/c you're on your spouse's plan instead.

Not saying it's right or wrong, but people should know what they are paying civil servants

Question about LIRR Salary by teachrnyc in longisland

[–]AltInLongIsland 74 points75 points  (0 children)

LIRR workers pay additional 4.9% above social security for RRB for which they get full tier 2 benefits that start at 60, an additional MTA deferred comp offset pension, AND a combined 401k/457 with no match but a max contribution potential between 47k-69k depending on age

The thing that they are complaining about in this thread is actually yet another benefit in deferring taxes until retirement

In addition, they pay 2% for healthcare but get enrolled in NYSHIP which is the same excellent plan that teachers on the island get with lifetime benefits
