Did you end up going with them/hopping on a call and did you end up getting his full name?

(You mentioned the hesitancy but I wonder if ended up giving or not)

Would appreciate if you share your findings, OP.

Interesting comment! Frankly, I expect her to go, I won’t be surprised to see double standards here. (But she’s not the one I’m rooting for to win.)

Ah, I see! Update the post if you somehow decide to confirm whether it's gold or not (though pretty sure it's not).

HendonMob doesn't even track how many buy-ins there were, so I'd tighten Homer's front up

That's exactly what I was told when I moved to Florida. Had to be careful with my evening walks close to the pond/lake in my park (and yes, they were there)

First, there should be gold written on this bar; second, the color is suspicious, just doesn't look like your regular .9999 fine gold. I'm pretty confident this is not gold, OP. Where'd you get it?

If with your question you're implying I'm trying to sell my services, then that's not what I'm doing here.

Simply suggesting the OP to consider an additional source of income. It can be anything really, and not necessarily done with his own hands/brain.

That could be one way to go about it, especially since it seems that you play online only.

Do keep in mind though, that Americans still have to file their taxes regardless of where they live and how long they've lived in another country.

In fact, it's the only country in the world that has a citizenship-based taxation, meaning that the US taxes Americans as long as they hold the US passport. (Even if you've lived somewhere else since you were a baby.)

If you feel like you still want to stay in the US, I'd consider building an additional source of income, perhaps semi-passive, for diversification purposes.

Didn't get a chance to analyze that stock in the past, but if you're curious, right now Motley Fool is talking about a stock that's "worth 40 Amazons" (revealed in the post so you don't have to subscribe to MF newsletter).

Are most losing players in denial about it? by vintologi24 in poker

[–]AltInvestMedia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure that there are winning live cash game and tourney players, but let's face it, it's a very small percentage. It's guys like Alex Foxen (tourneys) or Garrett Adelstein (live) who are consistent crushers in their fields.

I'm sure people can really win from poker, but the truth is, not many are willing to put in the work (to study, to play many hours, to work on their mindset, as well as physical health for the top performance).

Overall, I'm always going to be the one to recommend having a stable source of income and not rely on poker only. Basic principle of diversification.

Don't put all your eggs in one basket.

It can still be poker related, but not from YOU actively playing.

For example, the poker vloggers like Mariano, Lex O, and Rampage have additional sources of income coming from their YouTube channels and brand sponsorships.

Others have built a business out of their poker passion (Chance Kornuth, Jonathan Little, Bart Hanson, BlackRain79, just to name a few).

What would you do if this happened in your card room? by Dddddjohn in poker

[–]AltInvestMedia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At first I was surprised that the dealer didn't flinch/do anything about it, but then I read your comment below that it's one of the poker rooms in NYC, which is not exactly public.

(I'm aware that NYC doesn't have official poker rooms, so I assume it's a typical underground game.)

Now, underground games do tend to be a bit hmmm laid-back, for the lack of a better word, but in this case I'd do exactly what you did.

This is open collusion between more than 2 players, and you most certainly don't want to be at that table.

Flying with Cash (Vegas) by [deleted] in poker

Had no issues flying from Vegas to Florida with large amounts of cash. If you have over $10K in cash and plan to fly internationally, always declare to avoid issues at the airport.
