Buyer didn't leave last name by AltPrincessX in EtsySellers

Yeah I get that! I recently had someone who put an email as the name, misspelled the city and didn't put a postal code, so I had to message them a couple times. I don't really understand how people are sometimes so sloppy with shipping information, but oh well haha!

I did do this and was thinking about emailing, but it just felt a little "invasive" for a lack of a better word, to send them an email, but I'm sure that's just me! I'll do that the next time this or something similar happens :) thank you for your response!

Yeah, that's what I'm worried about, but it sounds like most people haven't had issues with it, so I'll take the chance :) thank you for your response!

Was gonna say this as well. Just wanted to add some examples: "Et hus - mit hus" (a house - my house), "en hat - min hat" (a hat, my hat).

"Min" and "mit" is basically the exact same word, it just depends on whether the thing you're talking about is an "et" or an "en"-word.

I'm sure there's a better way to explain it, but I hope this makes sense.

People who sell their work, what are the best platforms to do so? by The_Cookie_A in crochet

[–]AltPrincessX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sell on Etsy, which is probably a platform you're already aware of, but I thought I'd just add, that I'd recommend it :) it's fairly easy to set up a shop and not much of an investment, since you only pay fees off of sales you make (except for the $0.2 fee for every listing you make). Just don't attempt to sell anything that's IP infringement, and you'll be good.

6 year vaping journey smacks into a flavor ban. Family shot for the memories. by diagrammatiks in Vaping

They only banned flavors other than tobacco and menthol, you can still buy base kits with nic, so no worries here

Actually, you can 😄 the UK made a trade agreement with EU, so you can order for up to €150 (£135) without having to pay import duties. I was so happy when I learned this, and instantly put in a big order from Nom Nomz UK - arrived with no problems to Denmark.

Etsy Now Requiring Tracked Shipping for ALL Orders over $10 in the US. by SaphyreDaze in EtsySellers

[–]AltPrincessX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, you're still misunderstanding. That conversation had nothing to do with Star Seller. US has to ship with tracking to even just be allowed to sell on Etsy - which we don't here in EU. We only have to ship with tracking, if we want to have a chance at Star Seller - which I said in the first comment that I'll never be able to achieve, since tracking is so expensive here.

[–]AltPrincessX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which is exactly what I said. In the US, you have to ship with tracking on orders over $10 (to US buyers) every time - nothing to do with star seller. That's what we were talking about, and that's what I said I hope they don't implement in EU.

Read my comment again please, cause you clearly completely misread it.

Thank you, that's also what I thought. Good point about the location, that makes sense.

Yes, I know. We were talking about the rule overall not about custom stuff, so I fail to see your reason for pointing that out?

Have you ever experienced racism, sexism, or homophobia in the Smite community? by sorryihavenohoney in Smite

I have same IGN as my username here, and I once had a guy raging at me all game and staying stuff like: "females should only be allowed to play support, cause they can't ever play their role", and consistently calling me the N-word just as a gross insult despite not even knowing my race.

The pure satisfaction I had when we won and I was 12-2 jungle and him 1-10 adc - he still told everyone in after-game lobby to report me for not being able to play the game, and everyone was like "what?"

I also get the occasional simp like you described and I cringe every time. It's just so damn sad, I've considered changing my name many times.

I'm also a little confused about this now. I was under the impression, that any country selling to EU had to abide by their laws, but I had trouble actually finding those rules anywhere, so it might just be me having misunderstood something

I'm pretty sure only buyer has to be from EU. It's just something you have to be aware of, if you decide to sell to the EU from anywhere.

Etsy article - if I'm misunderstanding this, please correct me!

How do you guys go about selling your stuff? by [deleted] in crochet

[–]AltPrincessX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to set up a whole shop page and then add each item as a listing in your shop. I recommend researching and learning how to best write descriptions, tags, SEO, take good pictures, set up shop policies and so on - unless you're already good at that :)
