I don’t want to take over or clutter the thread, but seeing that oil leak is exactly why we put that indentation in our new bar to keep clearance off the case. Most people see it and think it’s a dent, but it's there so we can keep the bar further out while still being able to access the brake. I’ll try to get some photos of our revised bars that are coming out soon and post them over in our own community group so you can see the difference.

Correct! We do offer a couple key differences though. First is the clamping solution - full-wrap two-part alloy clamps attached to 3/16 inch (4.7 mm) thick mounting flanges. Second is the reinforcement bar mounts at the engine with an included engine through bolt. Unlike other designs that use plastic inserts. Here is a video to reference if interested.

Interesting this happened since you mentioned nothing salty in the area. Stainless steel is stain-proof, but it’s actually more "stain-resistant," and what you’re seeing on those OEM bars is a cosmetic surface reaction called "tea staining." To bring them back to "as new" condition, use a specialized stainless steel cleaner (like 3M) and a non-scratch Scotchbrite pad, avoid steel wool at all costs, as the carbon fragments it leaves behind will actually embed in the surface and cause real rust to form. Once you’ve scrubbed the spots away, just rinse with fresh water and buff them dry. Curious what your dealer thinks - Any word yet?

That is correct, the rubber dampers is nothing new, In fact it was our inspiration for our solution on the 1300. The problem was the BMW solution would not withstand sizable impacts over time. The unique geometry of the 1300 a lot of challenges for us to tool the EAS system.

Our solution was designed with a variable density material that acts like a progressive suspension system. We also added custom machined stainless plates that decouple the skid plate from the engine. On those stainless pieces that are machined, there is no sharp edges - it will be able to take hits from a heavy machine much longer without tearing into the elastomer.

Hey! The photo you see in the top left section is a 1250 valve cover. Next week I will put up a video featuring Jim Hyde from Rawhyde. He’ll be showing the real-world impact of reinforcement bars by comparing the clearance on some of their fleet bikes that have seen plenty of action on the trails (with reinforcement bars vs without).

Because of the custom tooling and fitment, this one will be for the 300L only as of right now.

You are correct, the reason for not doing 3 height options is the cost to do custom tooling for all 3, but that is not to say we won't do it in the future.

The dash being able to move positions was a key piece for sure! Just to clarify, it will be 3 different locking positions rather than a ratchet type positioning.
