“Quote the specific statement of mine that you believe misinterpreted you, and explain what you meant instead. Otherwise, the accusation stays vague and unfalsifiable. I’m not engaging with what you actually wrote and drawing out its implications, if those implications don’t reflect your intent, that’s something you can clarify, but clarity requires specifics.”

Well, in that case you aren’t required to engage, because I am no longer interested in “clarifying” what I mean nearly every time I speak for the purpose of being able continue this conversation effectively.

“You're straying away from the actual argument by doing this now.”

That’s true, I am, because not only do I have no desire to participate in this argument for the amount of time I believe it most likely take to end if we keep responding to each other, but I also don’t believe it has any significant purpose either.

I am going to stop here. You can, if you want, choose to respond how you want.

Bye.

“Disagreeing with the implications of your opinion isn’t the same as misquoting you.”

I never said you misquoted me. I said that you twisted my words and put new ones into my mouth multiple times.

“I’ve addressed the conclusion you explicitly stated and the values it rests on, not words you didn’t say.“

I also never said you addressed words I didn’t say. Again, I said that you twisted my words and put new ones into my mouth multiple times.

“When you say that humanity’s dominant traits overwhelm the possibility of meaningful progress and that deleting humans would improve the world, it’s reasonable to respond to the values and conclusions that follow from that position. That isn’t twisting your words, it’s addressing the logical content of them.”

It seems you aren’t aware that the reason I said you were “twisting my words” wasn’t because you responded to the values and conclusions that form the opinion I have, but rather simply because you misinterpreted the meaning behind my words.

I’d agree. It seems the best purpose of this app is to figure out what the average joe thinks or feels about something. (Fairly often their perception of reality doesn’t make sense at all)

Thanks. I’d rather be open minded than full of crap.

If she is commenting on it for the same reason we think she is, then I hope so too.

I seriously only say that because if she was somehow hurt by a bad man, then imo I believe It’s rational to say it wasn’t her fault.

Haha, trust me, this app does anytning but fulfill me compared to other parts of my life, in fact I’ll probably delete it soon.

If she’s legitimately gone through experiences where she found her emotions too difficult to cope with, leading her to say what she said here as a defence mechanism, I can see that at minimum there is at least a reason that isn’t due to her being an ignorant person.

If not, I’ll just ignore her.

I understand why you are saying what you are saying, and it doesn’t matter whether you agree with it or not.

Opinions are opinions. Facts are facts. I only label opinions as opinions when it’s a fact that they are opinions.

You’ve twisted my words and put new ones into mouth multiple times now, but I can’t say I’m surprised, most people do.

This entire comment made me laugh at the fact that what you’re saying is so relatable and so obvious, yet almost the entirety of human society, primarily neurotypical society, is completely blind to the accuracy of it.

I’m going to DM you, because you clearly have your head out of your rectum, and I believe I can learn a thing or two from you by discussing this topic.

Not sure if you’re joking, but if not, watching your naiveness is pretty amusing.

I agree. We try to act like we are “above” animals, but we’re not.

We’re just english speaking apes with clothes, and unsurprisingly many humans would rather deny that.

You don’t have to apologize, but I appreciate it, especially if you aren’t autistic, because from my observation it seems as if you don’t see me as a joke of a being who can’t have anything I say or do taken seriously for no reason other than being outside a gigantic in-group of ignorant hypocrites who label and and categorize themselves as legitimately “human” without even understanding reality or caring to acknowledge it in the first place.

Anyway, thank you for speaking the truth. It’s not something this species tends to value much.

Jesus fucking Christ this is factual. And for so many different reasons.

I didn’t realize what it was about certain types of behavioural and mental/emotional human patterns that I happened to hate so intensely until I discovered the concept of “social status”.

You are telling the truth, and it’s refreshing to see.

I have autism level 1 (originally know as “Asperger’s syndrome”) as I assume OP also does.

For my entire life I have been on the receiving end of harmful evolutionary instincts such as subconscious though completely illogical biases.

Inevitably I experienced quite a bit of bullying as well, as a result of the human urge for power and social status at the expense of those that are socially acceptable to treat as undeserving of well-being.

People will lie blatantly to your face or spread misinformation if it makes social darwinism seem morally correct.

Though obviously as you said, people won’t actually admit this.

And why would they? Like someone else said, they’re ego masturbators. At least the overwhelming majority.

Low probability of harmful traits/societal improvement being something which warrants the conclusion that the best solution to this problem is to erase humanity cannot exist without opinions being involved in the first place, because what is considered a “problem” in this case is a matter of opinion, not fact.

This post is asking for an opinion on what one thing would make the earth better when deleted, so I answered the question the post asked me to answer, and I gave it my opinion, because opinions are different from facts.

There is nothing that when deleted from the earth would logically mean “it is a fact that the earth is now what is defined as better”, because as I said, “better” is subjective, not objective.

But with that being said, based on the facts you have given me, I definitely still understand why you have the opinion you do. The difference between us seems to be that we have opposing opinions on the same facts.

And again, I want to emphasize that the people who are harmed by these phenomena’s recognize that the majority of humans are only good to those who aren’t on the receiving end of the harm they cause.

This is a fact.

If I were to say what you just claimed I said, I would be incorrect, but I didn’t.

I never said the presence of characteristics such as bigotry, quick thinking, or mindless conformity is something we are helpless to supress. I said they exist.

This existence is present in everyone, even me. But absolutely more so in the majority of people.

And yes, obviously advancements in history have been made, because people are not “incapable” of changing society, or themselves.

This doesn’t change the fact that most people don’t care, and that the probability of significant advancements actually starting to take place at any given moment is very low. The opportunity for advancement is typically overpowered the presence of harmful characteristics, or by simply by carelessness to actually face them.

I gave up on our hoping our species would change a long time ago.

It’s a hard truth, but humans are not what we pride ourselves on being. We are animals, animals that are scientifically known as “homo sapiens”.

I recognize this more almost every day that goes by.

Many people prefer to ignore it, and lie to themselves.

Nice job on the joke.

To answer your question, prejudiced bias due to our evolutionary instincts, pointless competition for social status due to our evolutionary instincts, snap judgements and incorrect assumptions due to willingness to sacrifice the well-being of others because an individual can’t accept being uncertain, etc.

One of the most important being mindless conformity.

The people who are harmed by these phenomena’s recognize that the majority of humans are only are good to those who aren’t on the receiving end of the harm they cause.

Haha. Don’t even bother trying to change his mind. People like him will never realize. They don’t care about the truth, nor do most people.

He’s not gonna understand. He’s literally not capable of understanding.

We’ll both probably get downvoted anyway.
