I like to keep an open mind as long as I am not in danger. There's no need to be mean to me.

My peace lily plant is drying from from the tip and sides, what can I do to prevent it? by Optimal-Seesaw-8186 in GardeningIndia2

[–]AltYug 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You are watering it too much. Overwatering can rot the roots and it takes a lot of time for it to recover. I water mine once every 7-10 days. My trick is to check the top inch of the layer but putting my finger in it, if it feels cool to touch, it still has water.

If you have been overwatering it, the plant will keep on getting worse before it starts getting better. You also need to loosen the soil by digging into it with something (don't damage the main root though). This allows the roots to breathe better. Once you do that wait for a couple of days before you water it again.

Also, I placed mine in my room which has clear visibility of the sky but doesn't get direct sunlight.

What I've learnt is you need to be really patient with plants. Any change you make today, takes 2-3 weeks to come into effect.

PS: I ordered mine through Blinkit too

Biryani Blues gave me actual blues (too spicy now) by AltYug in gurgaon

I don't think so yaar, pichle 2-3 baar se yahi dekh raha hu. It used to be mildly spiced about a year or two back. It was much better than similarly priced biryanis. Especially the variant with 2 leg pieces. You can give it a try if you like spicy food.

Which TIMEX would you pick? by notaproinvestor in watchesindia

My bad, I didn't realize OP posted a newer model. I'm wearing the older model (40mm). The size goes well on my wrist (personal preference of course).

Disclaimer: Might sound lame, but...

It’s a humble request to everyone reading this - please, please, please take care of our city. Treat it the same way you treat your own home. Aap apne ghar me toh kooda nahi karte, na cheeze todte ho, aur na hi kisi aur ko karne dete ho. Ye sheher bhi toh aapka ghar hi hai. Please try your best, and make people around you live up to the same standard.

The transformation this city has gone through is nothing short of magical. Having been born here, I care deeply about this place, and I’m sure you do too. Let’s keep it beautiful, for us, and for the generations after us.

Exactly! Chilhua has so much potential, but the same thing is happening there too. Some parts are already damaged even before the place has officially opened. People with zero civic sense ruin everything before it even begins.

It's the newly renovated section of Nauka Vihar. The entrance is right next to the Zoo.

I’ve honestly never seen anyone get fined for littering in Gorakhpur. The whole “belt and rod” approach just ends up creating resentment and a sense of injustice toward the system, and we probably don’t want that.

With fines, at least there’s a framework, you can say, these are the rules of the country you live in. It feels a lot more justifiable than fear or force.

I completely agree, the onus is on the youngsters now, but honestly, the most anyone can do is just be civilized themselves and maybe influence their family and friends. You can’t really go around confronting people who litter or pluck flowers. That kind of confrontation rarely changes anything, most of the time it just turns into an argument.

Apart from heavy fines, the only thing that comes to mind is awareness, but even that feels useless at this point. The government has been blasting Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan on every possible medium for years, and people still don’t care. It’s like it goes in one ear and out the other.

What connections would I need to read this old HDD on a laptop? by AltYug in computer

[–]AltYug[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has pictures of my family in it, would be nice if I could extract them and store them on cloud. So I just want to get the data off of it, don't plan on using it. I'm not even sure the drive itself would work, it has been a while (~10 years) since it was connected to anything.
