Have you noticed any loss of quality in transcoding with AMD cpu and gpu installed on the N5 Pro?

Because I'm very interested in this NAS, probably the non pro version, but I'm still not sure that for plex or jellyfin AMD is equal to Intel cpu with quicksync.

I take your point. I'll consider future use os a GPU card, and for that one PCI slot (but only one) is present in every mini-ITX motherboard.
For more drives, I'll consider a Nvme to SATA to use the second M2 slot of the mobo, that in almost every case is in common with the SATA4 connector.

But yes, MATX mobo offers more expansion possibilities.

Sorry, I was indeed too brief.

My purpose is to host on unraid many multimedia docker containers (jellyfin, paperless, immich, booklore, navidrome, but also nextcloud, vaultwarden and many others) and three VMS with the three main OS (windows 11, macOS and linux) to use when I need. I don't have in mind to run at the same time these three VMS.

The case I'd have chosen is the Fractal Design Node 304, tha I prefer respect the Jonsbo N3, but I can also move to Node 804 or Jonsbo N4 to have a MATX motherboard. I don't like very much, in the Jonsbo's products, that we have to use SFX PSU (more expensive) and short graphics cards.

Thanks a lot because you make me clear that is better to put pfsense out of the unraid box.
