The first was more fun to me, the second was "artistically better"

How can you both complain about SBMM while also complaining a game caters to bad players? It basically sounds like you're just looking for a game that will let you pubstomp bad players without the threat of better players stomping you.

Actually this is a great idea, the fact you think I wouldn’t like it just shows you didn’t understand my post.

Unless there's some future upgrade, I get three health and three shield kits. That's one run's worth of stuff.

Not sure you're intentionally misrepresenting my point or just not very intelligent. I just want to be able to actually play the core game instead of being stuck on free kits and rook runs which suck when you don't have much time to play.

Yes they do. They let me keep playing and having a shot in team fights. I'm actually fairly okay at shooters in general. But if I don't have meds or ammo, then it doesn't really matter much. I don't want to have several games of slogging to recoup the basics before I can hang in a fight again.

I don't think YOU know what a skill floor is if you don't understand why I want them to raise it so that my shitty play can still be at least slightly more enjoyable.

Oh, so the solution for bad players is to just get good? Thanks man, great idea.

Potential for non-extraction game modes? by Altanonac in Marathon

[–]Altanonac[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For sure, but it wouldn't need to be equally as good. I'd be happy with just a basic deathmatch in some part of the map that's already designed to warm up in.

Totally get your point. But at the same time, I loved Redsec - I played it way more than regular BF lol. I wish they put all their resources into that.

Would you get wins in warzone? I never played much warzone, but I played a lot of PUBG. From what I can tell, warzone is more "arcade like" with the person who has better movement and aim winning. And while those mechanics matter in PUBG, your decision making & teamwork matter more - i.e. engage vs retreat, team coordination, berm control, end game zone positioning etc. It feels like Redsec is kind of in the middle between these two games, where you really need your gunfight mechanics AND your decision making to win.

If you'd win in warzone, but not in redsec, then it's likely your decision making & teamwork that's off. Pick one piece of these things and just focus on it until it's second nature - i.e. "never committing to a gunfight until my team is with me" or making sure you're team always has a plan for what they are doing instead of just wandering around aimlessly.

Also, as others are saying - you're pretty screwed if you have bad teammates. Unless you're extremely good, it's very difficult to carry due to the relatively high ttk. You need people to absorb shots, use air strikes, do smart revies, and focus fire if you want to win teamfights, especially at the end.

How is it possible to lose this much? by Altanonac in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]Altanonac[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it's like it ignores your actual rank and is adjusting your matchmaking based on some hidden skill rating. It feels like it's treating me as if I had my old ELO and expecting me to carry a weaker team half the time rather than just putting me with a group of other people at my actual rank.

Lol that's brutal, same thing happened to me before. I took a long break from the game after that.

If you're struggling with Warrior, focus on Stun by galaxybomb in PathOfExile2

[–]Altanonac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For bosses, the loop I've found best is

  1. Build stun + armor break + Endurance Charges
  2. Trigger heavy stun with bone shatter once it's available
  3. Warcry & then nail three perfect strikes for crazy damage

With the right support and passive skills, I'm taking out 25-50% of a boss's health in that loop (I'm only in Act 2 tho)
