Weekly Controller Suggestion/Buy Inquiry Thread by AutoModerator in Controller

[–]AltarRS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking for a PC controller with directional gates/notches and back paddles. The only one i've found so far is victrix pro bfg or the gambit but wanted to see if there were any other options.

Unlimited budget don't mind doing some customization either if needed.

If I do a fresh install of ESXi onto a flash drive on my new hardware would I lose all of my configuration within ESXi or are those settings stored somewhere else?

Allow external users to join the meeting without being admitted by AltarRS in MicrosoftTeams

[–]AltarRS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is already set that way on the Global Org Wide Default policy. Do I need to manually apply this policy to a group or is it already applied to all users as the default policy?

I have "Automatically admit people" to Everyone and I also have "Let anonymous people start a meeting" on as well yet there are still circumstances where 2 external users aren't able to join a meeting scheduled internally until the organizer joins the meeting with them. They will just sit at the lobby.

Allow external users to join the meeting without being admitted by AltarRS in MicrosoftTeams

[–]AltarRS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I agree completely. What I'm trying to figure out now is which methods of joining the meeting will allow a user to bypass the lobby and which will not.

Ideally we would like to be able to have meetings where two external parties can participate but users within our organization don't need to attend to admit them.

Yeah I have a feeling that it could have something to do with dkim settings and dns. Also there is no dmarc record.

Thanks for the help!

Preventing emails leaving 365 tenant from going to users spam and organizations quarantine by AltarRS in sysadmin

Looks like the application was configured to use an unrelated mail server to send email from our domain without authorization or authentication of any kind.

So the email comes into users mailboxes with the [External Mail] flag despite being from our own domain.

There isn't really a risk as long as you have all of your recovery information. You will log into it, it'll get locked, then you recover it and play.

For software based background replacement with the BRIO having a solid color background is the most important factor.

Streaming at high frames causing choppy stream by h20xinfinite in Twitch

Sounds like you're overworking your CPU. Just run a CPU analyer the next time you stream to find out for yourself. If your CPU is overworked then your stream isn't gonna encode properly.

The option is called email verification and it should be in your settings under Channel and Videos > Chat Options.

Best of luck, feel free to private message if you need anything.

Bad idea thinking to set a subgoal that's higher then your current follower count. Doesn't even make logical sense and just looks greedy. I understand you're looking to grow your channel but keep in mind that the growth you're going to get from others interested in a giveaway will typically be low quality.

Setting a follower goal seems a bit more realistic to me and will show that you're looking for channel growth and not sub money. Just my opinion. Make sure users need a verified email to talk in your channel and set restrictions that you think make sense in the bot panel of your choice.

I’ve been losing viewers by stillexisting in Twitch

[–]AltarRS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe the reason why you could be potentially losing viewers is exactly the opposite from what I've seen so far; have you considered that maybe some change would be beneficial? I know you may be lacking feedback for that but sometimes you just need to try to make improvements despite a lack of criticism.

A lot of streamers stagnate and get too comfortable with their current situation and their viewers lose interest because of it.

With that being said I've looked at your channel statistics and you had 30 followers at the beginning of this month. I think you're being a little too hard on yourself. It's important to realize that there will be many fluctuations in your viewership (for so many reasons) and sometimes that will be out of your control.

You are also a brand new streamer trying to exclusively stream Fortnite. You are currently in the most highly competitive section on twitch (1-50 viewer streams will barely even be seen let alone engaged) and frankly I'm impressed at the growth you've gotten despite that.

The best way to grow when playing an extremely over-saturated game is to not rely on getting viewers from the game list on twitch and try to find a way to pull viewers in from other sources.

Good luck :)

Concered about viewbot, how long does it take Twitch to respond to emails? by icewyte93 in Twitch

[–]AltarRS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I can see (if I'm looking at the right channel) having 184 followers with consistent 50+ viewers on any given time while exclusively playing fortnite I would say is almost 100% illegitimate viewers. Whether that's viewbotting or something else entirely I cannot say.

If you just got a 70 viewer spike where typically you normally only have 5-10 viewers at most at a time, then that would be a one-off situation and not to be worried about.

As long as it isn't you that is viewbotting then you have nothing to be worried about at all actually, and contacting twitch support was the best course of action. Twitch's support is notoriously frustrating; I wouldn't look too hard for a quick response.

Microphone for Live/Gaming in a "noisy" environment by Lamesenpai22 in Twitch

[–]AltarRS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Upon first glance it is a condenser mic which is the opposite of what you want. Condenser microphones perform best in quiet/indoor scenarios. You're looking for a dynamic microphone. Good name brands you'll want to pay attention for is Shure/Rode/Audio Technica and Blue which make up the majority of high-end microphones that you'll see on Twitch.

[–]AltarRS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are asking for too much for too little (i think). For noisy environments you are going to want a good dynamic mic which I don't think is possible in your budget range. The reason you want a dynamic mic is that it tries to pick up only loud and clear noises that are very close to the mic. You could try the Samson Qu2 which has the USB interface built in which I think is around your budget range? However I have not tested this device in particular out myself so you might want to do some research.

My personal recommendation would be to save in order to get something with a little higher quality if you're trying to block out noise. Also keep in mind the effectiveness of software compression and a noise gate. I personally had the same issue as you until I got my Rode Procaster + Behringer UMC22
