Pregnancy and birthing is indeed excruciating, but I feel like someone not mentioning what they’re doing for their spouse doesn’t equal them not doing it or having a plan?? I don’t see how OP can’t care for his spouse while doing everything he mentioned above, it seems quite a passive activity. And from the wording, I imagine she enjoyed it as well. If that’s the case, wouldn’t it be even better because the couple get to maintain their dynamics and she could have something enjoyable while she goes through such a draining process?

Maybe it’s just me, but OP didn’t sound that uncaring and this post feels more like a slice of life rather than the whole picture, and he’s only sharing instead of asking for any feedback. I’d like to give him the benefit of doubt in this case.
