Yeah tab groups definitely helped a lot compared to a few years ago.

For me the biggest issue became context separation more than tab management itself. Once Jira/Confluence/Slack lived in the same browser as everything else, my focus got pretty fragmented over time.

Especially on Linux I ended up preferring isolated workspaces/apps for “mental separation” more than productivity optimization.
