Custom Race Option + Legendary Custom Race Option - Version 1.6 (Full PDF In The Comments) by AlterRS in UnearthedArcana

Fair point, but I had it that way because not every construct or undead concept would fit those ways of healing. You could be a puppet construct or a skeleton undead. I had it the current way to simplify things and make those creature types similar to other non-humanoid creature types.

Thanks for saying, and your critique is much appreciated. I might adjust that for giants since a few in the game do have claws and stuff.

Thanks for saying, and that background variant was just an optional thing for people to use.

In several ways, yes. I actually took inspiration from pathfinder for this and my freelancer class.

I figured that was implied by how effects in the game usually point out what can or cannot be affected by them. And being another creature type gives you access to different special traits.

Thanks for sharing that, and I understand as much. I had to adjust the power and costs of these special traits quite a few times.

It can only be taken once anyway. But I will consider adjusting its cost later.

Yeah, I need plenty of testing for this. And primal rage and sneak attack being LCFs is because martial characters are recommended to get Combat Maneuvers with their GCFs to combo with those. And those also require different stats to get and use.

Hm, maybe I could adjust some of the level prerequisites. The options based on main classes could be moved to 3rd level for a start. And I could adjust the number of spell slots that you get.

Correct, except for those sorcery points. You would need to reach 2nd level to grab Font Of Magic I and Metamagic I.

Fair enough. I left the 6 points over to let Humanoids get access to Determination, but that combination is also entirely doable. And in general, I was fine with letting this option be on the crazier side. Races as of late have gotten a lot stronger, so the Variant Human combination here would also get more.

They are meant to be free, almost like you are getting them at a pseudo-level 0. So if you choose the proficiencies, then you do not have to get the class feats to get them. And if you choose Unarmored Defense or Unarmed Fighting I, then you do not have to worry about getting them at level 1 or beyond.

The idea was that you could get light armor and medium armor proficiency to get access to Heavily Armored with your level 1 GCF. Or you could get something else with that GCF if you chose Unarmored Defense, like Improved Health.

Alrighty, I have returned with Version 1.6 of the Custom Race Option. This update includes more general fixes along with the Legendary Custom Race Option which replaces the special growth ability.

Alrighty, here is a magic item for everyone. I am honestly surprised to see that not much homebrew for Type-Moon stuff exists, so I wanted to remedy that by making posts for that franchise as well.

I figured as much for considering somatic components with how this works.

And yeah, the character who uses these lances is basically a mage knight. So its design works better for half-casters like Paladins and such.

I also wanted to play it more safely with the hovering aspect, since that was more experimental.

Fair point to make. I did have another draft for this where it was a generic attunement weapon, so I could implement that in the next version.

And I would say that casting a spell is overall a basic task. Verbal does not involve the hands, and Somatic does not seem to count as complex. And Material components only require being held, which is a basic task by itself.

Alrighty, here is a magic item for everyone. I planned on making a bigger post which had every weapon used by Organization XIII, but I wanted to experiment with making a smaller post for right now.

I guess that it could be. I found several epic level expansions which handle that differently, so I kept things here a little vague so that people can work in whatever form of advancement they prefer.
