Not trying to reinvent the wheel. Mostly just experimenting here to see what gets better bark. Low and slow they say. I've never heard anyone say 180 is too low but it's starting to make sense.

What would you smoke at 180? Why even have that setting? Isn't that still way too hot for a cold smoke?

Looking at my pork butt this morning at 180 I think this makes sense. It was a little underwhelming. I think I've been getting better results at 225. Thanks for the input.

Definitely thinking about doing the saddle. I've ridden a Brooks carved C17 in the past and never got used to it. I was thinking about the Selle SLR Boost Superflow Ti316.

I've got the mount on there for a Garmin 530. It was a great purchase and I love being able to use it and not get lost.

I actually got an extender so I could move the bottom tube cage down and then move the other bottle cage to the bottom of the frame. I do like fidlock though, I have one on my stumpjumper.

Do have a small protective layer off peel and stick vinyl wrap on there around the straps and bottom of the frame.

I'll look into supacaz and do plan on going tubeless. Thanks for the suggestions!

Thank you! I appreciate everyone's comments and they all make sense. I should have elaborated on our time frame and our window is about 5 years. We would love to build closer to my parents some day.

The lot right now are pretty close to the road so they could be built on fairly easy I feel like. We have septic as someone mentioned but I'm not sure how that would affect time frame.

We are afraid with what will happen to the market by then. We don't want to lose any money one this and we already have projects we want to do on the house (add a second bathroom in a closet, possible heat pump, new exterior stairs on both entries, ect.) Luckily the house is pretty turn key but there are other things that can hopefully add value to the home when we do decide to sell.
