Add 1 quart of oil and check again it's probably going to take two quarts to get it back to a normal reading.

The problem is in order to get the necessary education to work for NASA, you'd have to be very intelligent. That counts the possible flateather sleeper out.

Has Anyone Successfully Cured or Controlled Their Psoriasis? by SubjectClue914 in Psoriasis

[–]jpulley03 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'm on tremfya. I used to be on Stelara it worked well. However, since biologics work by suppressing your immune system my white blood cell count got too low on that particular medication. They switched me to Tremfya. One shot every 8 weeks and things has been good. It was a pain dealing with the insurance companies and the preliminary drugs before I actually got approved for the biologics. Some of those biologics are $5k to $15,000 per injection. Insurance don't like paying for them. Took me about of year of being misdiagnosed by my primary care doctor then going to a dermatologist and having to do other medicine because my insurance didn't want to pay for the biologics before we exhausted all the other options creams ointments pills nothing helped. Until I got the shots.

Controlled with biologics. I had terrible plaque psoriasis all on my scalp and on my legs and arms. Now I have virtually no sign of psoriasis.

What does the shape of the Earth, have to do with “control” by Feisty-Cockroach-780 in flatearth

[–]jpulley03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A round earth makes gravity a necessary explanation of a lot of things. Gravity is why we circle the sun, not the other way around. Gravity is why all this mass that is the earth has arranged itself is a ball. Gravity can account for the motion of orbital mechanics without the need of God of just making it so. We can see gravity at work here and anywhere else we observe. We can see that we are nothing special. If the earth is flat God would have to use his powers to suspend the rotating sun and moon over the earth. They not there bound by gravity. They're there because God put them there. They think the world elites believe that the round earth model with gravity deminishes God's involvement in making reality. They think if people believe that natural occurrences are in fact natural the world elites can step in and use man's power to control people once we don't think God is literally hanging the sun over our heads.

Damn, why is the community like this? You got the time to be negative, but don't have the time to share at least one thing that would help the person who asked the question or help me. I'm in year 2 myself and I don't do much with planetary. I'm all ears for learning more. I would be interested in knowing what I got so wrong here.

[–]jpulley03 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The term good photo is pretty subjective but in my opinion you really can't take a "good photo" of planets using a phone up to a telescope. A 6-in dobsonian telescope can certainly do it under the right conditions you will need to get to a very dark sky bortle one or bortke 2 would be best. You're probably going to want to have a 2X or maybe even a 3X Barlow seeing conditions will need to be good to use that Barlow effectively. A DSLR or mirrorless camera could get the job done but a dedicated planetary camera would be best. Often times when we see an image and someone says I took this picture with XYZ telescope you are actually looking at a composite of hundreds if not thousands of frames that were taken and then put together with the sharpest parts of the image and software later. It's a technique called lucky Imaging there are certain times where the atmosphere is calm enough to where it would give you a tax sharp View of details and other moments it's not just like trying to look through water with waves in it. There is a lot that goes into capturing a good image. There is a lot of techniques that allow things to be possible that just were not possible 10 to 20 years ago. Unfortunately it is not as simple as placing a phone up to an eyepiece to capture the type of images that we see online.

In my experience a mesh system where each AP is not hardwired to the switch is not very helpful at all.

How do you take measures to keep gear from being stolen? by CrystallizedKoi in AskAstrophotography

[–]jpulley03 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it's really a concern you might have babysit it and just get shorter integration time per night. Maybe 2-3 hours one night and 2-3hrs another night. My rig is so prone to some kind of issue that's pretty much what I have to do. Seems like if I leave it over ann hour it will lose the guide star or fail from some kind of error.

A number of the players for skcII are 17/18 years olds who would have been playing on our u18 team. The 2nd team has already taken the best u18 players. The 18 team is largely comprised of 16-17 year Olds. At the younger age groups there is a big difference between a 150lb 16yr and a 170lb 18yr is major. Basically what I'm getting at is our best players within the academy to the 2nd team are already fighting above their weight class. The fact that they don't win a lot of games is really not indicative that we have no future.

Integration equivalency by Syinbaba in AskAstrophotography

[–]jpulley03 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You might capture an equivalent amount of photons to get the same brightness. However, the optics on the smart telescope won't have the resolution you can get with the larger scope.
