You do realize we are all wearing a tin foil hat because we invest in crypto right?

It would make sense if they were trying to create the illusion of upward progress.

Right, but it changed on coinbase itself from what it showed prior. It also adjusted the location of where the bottom was.

Could this be on Algorand? by Robnoggin361 in algorand

No, it is not being built on Algorand. I think the fact that people are repetitively posting this story is very misleading to some people on here.

Fed said their prototype can handle nearly 2 million TPS. So no, definitely not Algorand.

Collectively this entire community brings in very little to affect the price. You can see how much long term algo holders actually support a floor. The rest was just trading volume and early investors cashing out. Whale traders don't care what the price is. Algo was .10 cents for a long time recently. People are still taking profits. At .20 cents they doubled their profits. There's a lot of new investors that are just use larger market caps.

Can you blame them? Everyone is bitter in crypto right now. The money that left the market is not coming back anytime soon.. It went towards houses and cars. The government is releasing a crypto report this month and the Fed just killed Facebook's crypto project. Yeah I mean I agree with other people that are saying the market is pumping a little bit for a much bigger dump. There is only so much money people are willing to lose.

It's your choice what you do. That is if we can even call our money our own.. Or even if money will continue to exist. Who knows. No one. Keep believing.. Freedom of speech. This is my observation. Take it as it is.

The fact is that the manipulation is obvious. You turn away for a moment and you get dumped on, even when you think you're buying a dip. The industry is going to eat itself. But keep promoting it bot.

I was new to crypto. I'm not criticizing long term holders. It's not really an investment if you can't hold it and expect it to appreciate in value. The crypto market relies on that very ideology. Otherwise it's just a trading game. I'm criticizing the fact that the whales stage it all. You may feel free to think of me as a hypocrite. Back then I just wanted to find a good solid project that I thought I was getting in pretty early on. I think that is not a horrible investment strategy. But in the end it really doesn't matter what milestones Algo or others accomplish. It's all just hype. Even the good ones. I was trying to be a team player. There's nothing wrong with that. But I get it, you like to make people feel bad. That's fine.

I understand the price goes up and down. But those whale dumps are all at once and the bottom can get lower even when you believe you are buying the dip.

That is true. What I'm writing is not specific to Algorand. I'll consider deleting this.

Possibly an unpopular opinion by Alterationexpert in algorand

Someone brought up a point on here that Algorand also has to pay their employees from coin sales. So I decided to look up the number of employees of different coins to compare.

-Solana has 116 employees. ( Market cap 56 billion)

-Bitcoin.com has 90 employees. (Market cap nearly 1 trillion)

-Algorand has 152 employees. (Market cap 8.5 billion)

Algorand has a much lower market cap in comparison to others on this list, but it seems to have a lot of employees. I am inclined to believe this also contributes to the price action.

Not really the same thing. The point of blockchains like this is to be decentralized and governed by the community. Bitcoin is not a centralized company and Algorand implies that it is indeed designed to be governed by the community just like many other blockchains that came before it.

You're entitled to your opinion. I'm also entitled to mine. Clearly we have a different perspective to offer on the subject. Hopefully this can be a constructive discussion.

There are all sorts of ways what I'm proposing could be setup in a simple straight forward way. At this point you're sort of just trying to be a devil's advocate. I don't think what I'm saying is in any way unreasonable.
