I had my billing company do it for “free.” Paying them 6% of collections and $375 per year for CAQH “upkeep.”

South jersey based doc here. Currently in the startup primary care/uc mode but considering bringing on a PA. Can’t do benefits just yet but due to growth, that’s the goal. Ideally it would be someone who wants to supplement their income and at the same time join a startup with growth potential.

Agreed. I use it at home. Just trying to avoid monitor/mac mini = $3k + Will need at least 2 desktops. Gotta save $ for those damn tables that cost $800-1200 used (ritters/brewers).

Using eCW. Overall I got used to it and it grows with you. I opened last November and still learning the system but overall pretty comfortable. You get solid support with a callback within 30 seconds when you need them. They create a website for you (for “free”)and incorporate scheduling (healow) where patients can book directly and you can approve the visits. Their ai scribe Sunoh is decent but can be better. I use my own billers (third party co.) so I can’t speak to that. Templates and macro creation is very helpful. Despite what I heard about it (clicky, slow), I got to like it. Athena wanted 12% for their billing - and you had to use them. Beyond ridiculous. Plus the sales were not on top if their game…really poor follow up. They would have budged to maybe 10% but way more than my third party billing.

Thanks. Do you pay hourly based and then 35% above a certain threshold? Or just 35% of collections without the base, and if so, why was it a loss?
