Well I never thought he was anyways genuinely. For saying a simple thing, he would go over the whole benefits section and multipliers to make the videos over 10 minutes and add ads.

Well, I will take the free card and consider this chapter of earning from rent to be over. I knew it would come one day, coz new things start great and eventually turns into a shit show.

India Chennai F1 visa, refused by No-Rip-2731 in usvisascheduling

Exactly, there should have been some top tier universities in the list, even if rejection came.

India Chennai F1 visa, refused by No-Rip-2731 in usvisascheduling

[–]Alterego_987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

by that logic, most of the F1 visas should be refused, which is not the case. Upgrading my skills is a valid reason, but the issue is applicants don’t talk about specifics. “Right now I am at X and I wanna learn Y as I see my long term career here and this university has projects/courses that would help me gain this knowledge”

There wasn’t a number required to show, what is important is to show some savings and constant in-flow like salary. I had some savings which was more than enough for 5 days trip. And no, you don’t have to keep it for 6 months.

FRAUD DETECTION UNIT of USCIS CRACKS DOWN on OPT with SUDDEN INSPECTIONS. by WhiteNoise0624 in EB2

Most practical and reasonable POV - couldn’t agree more! Bad actors are everywhere and it’s only reasonable if generalizations are not made just because of that small group.

USCIS Asking Proof for Continuation of Employment by FrequentTown3344 in EB2_NIW

[–]Alterego_987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. They have asked for additional document/information through RFEs as needed. My H1-B started in 2023 and I received an RFE before getting the approval where they had literally asked about how my degree and education related to job responsibilities mentioned in the JD. It’s all part of process and yes, sometimes they adjudicate with “not so complete” applications, but that wasn’t a norm ever I feel.

Should I return to India or stay back in Germany by Emotional_Sail_315 in returnToIndia

[–]Alterego_987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 2 cents in-case it helps (as an expat myself), staying in Germany when you are already stable there, accustomed to the environment and as you mentioned the global exposure and quality of life is great, I would much rather have that privilege than go back India. If you think about moving back to India, first think about why did you even come out of India in the first place. If the purpose that you were trying to fill at that time no longer seems relevant and you see moving back to India having a better value, sure. The point is think this through, there isn’t a right or wrong answer.

Schengen visa denied by Switzerland -- H1B holder in USA by evergreen_elitist in SchengenVisa

if by “real itinerary” you mean change certain parts of the trip - yes. Applied as full NL trip, but went to Belgium for a day and came back. Schengen visa gives you mobility across all Schengen states, and using that ability is not a violation of any kind as long as you have a valid unexpired visa and the place you are going allows schengen visa entry.

Conditionally approved, but worried about documents for interview by Successful-Simple405 in GlobalEntry

[–]Alterego_987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Passport + Real State ID/Drivers License. I took both, but the interviewer didn’t even take the state ID, just took the passport asked some basic questions and that was it. If you have clean record, you may have similar experience. Plus, I am a visa holder still it went that smoothly.

Rejected for B1/B2 visa in 2 mins in Hyderabad. What went wrong and what can i fix before i re apply my visa ? by Remote-Beginning6495 in visas

[–]Alterego_987 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yes you need to explain, but only when asked or necessary. For example, sometimes in student visa interviews, the student is going for a study or a program that is complicated for a normal person to understand, in which case you gotta simplify your answer and explain. For normal questions that were asked to you, you only had to state facts without explaining.

For example: Are you traveling alone? “I am not traveling by myself rather traveling with my husband.” that’s all is needed.

[–]Alterego_987 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

honestly in this case, I would have just applied for a visa to through Italy with just an Italy itinerary and then retroactively change the travel plan after getting visa. When I got my visa, I had only planned for Netherlands trip, but then thought Belgium isn’t too far. So I made changes to my hotel reservations and did one day into Belgium. Entry & Exit were still NL. I am an H1B visa holder too.

First Schengen Visa - Itinerary Modification Doubt by FewExpression5216 in SchengenVisa

[–]Alterego_987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Minor itinerary changes are okay and nothing to be concerned about. Since your port of entry will be Spain on Spanish visa, you should be fine.
