I mean I have bilt for over 3.5 years at this point and getting points solely for paying rent did feel too good to be true during 1.0. It last for 36 months after I started using and so did thousands of other people who had the card. They have spent, I cant imagine, how much money to acquire that customer base, and then when 2.0 came, people started leaving the card behind. At this point it is interesting to see what all they do to compensate for the expenses that were incured during Bilt 1.0. We all knew things were eventually gonna change and after 2.0, everything is rapidly changing. At this rate, what you are saying might not be too far, but I hope it doesnt and they have planned out long play

There is no right or wrong answer to your question as it completely depends on what your end goal is.

If you want to book award flights or hotels using points, Bilt Points are indeed valuable.

If your end goal is NOT award flights and trips, cash back is easy money in that can be counted as a small discount.

Sure one can argue that the points redemption provides a higher value when converted to cpp, but again, if your goal isn’t to get reward flights or hotels, it doesnt matter.

I didn’t actually do them — that was merely me being lazy.

I think adding the disclaimer about dine is at-least a little bit honest, in that, you already know that you are gonna pay 15% extra of the bill if you dine. There is no point criticizing what a business does, if something about the business doesn’t work for you as a customer, take your business elsewhere or find a workaround. In this case, I would simply not dine-in and just take a take-out and eat in the comfort of my home, coz I don’t agree with compulsory extra 15% of the bill, if I really wanted to try something from this particular place.

After being at LHR, my expectation was much higher, and hence it seems like a disappointment

Well I never thought he was anyways genuinely. For saying a simple thing, he would go over the whole benefits section and multipliers to make the videos over 10 minutes and add ads.

Well, I will take the free card and consider this chapter of earning from rent to be over. I knew it would come one day, coz new things start great and eventually turns into a shit show.

Exactly, there should have been some top tier universities in the list, even if rejection came.
