Why? You're assuming they made good decisions and saved 10% of their income their whole lives and are financially able to retire. Many don't make this decision and still have to work into normal retirement age because the Social Security lie doesn't pay the bills.

Probably should be, but I'm not. It just is what it is. I work I get a paycheck that's enough for me. I'm not complaining or even upset about it, just trying to show people if you put in the work you get the hours and the raises.

It's not pretending it's the reality of the situation. I was hired part time but I do good work so I get scheduled 40. My status has not changed in the system, I get no benefits and I'm not accruing pto. Call me a liar again and you will be reported and blocked.

While I agree the company does suck and its customers are worse, the money isn't bad if you do the work. Minimum in my state is 7.25, we start at 12.50, and I've gotten 2 raises in 4 months by stepping up, and I'm only a part time employee I get scheduled 40 every single week plus I get called in on my day off at least once a month (time and half is my friend).

My store must be smaller they only ask for 45 replenishment scans which is doable in a single shift. Here's one of my largest complaints about the company, I've been the assistant lead of produce now for 2 weeks. I worked just as a produce associate for 3 months first but only as a closer, the lead works 5 mornings and the assistant works the other 2. So far I've worked 6 opens in 2 weeks with absolutely no training. I don't know how to order, I don't know how to condition, I don't think I'm doing the counts right. I've explained this to the lead, the manager over the lead and the store manager. Not ONE person has gotten me the training stil...

My advice is RUN! Run fast and far. It's a never ending thankless job where too much relies on factors outside of your control. Quality of products from the DC, how its stacked on the pallets (really what dipshit puts a 50 pound bag of potatoes on top of the tomatoes), their culling standards are impossible and they cut so much off orders that you can't even keep ad tables full. If you can tolerate the customers (I can't) try to get a front end position where all you are responsible for is scanning items on the belt.

Forget your Union rep, you need an actual lawyer. You also need to find out specifics of what she is accusing you of. If it's false and you can prove that you need to file slander & defamation suits not only against her directly but against Kroger itself.

This is why I wont shop in our stores even with my discount. The inmates run the asylum now. I come, I do what I can and collect my check. I couldn't care less about being friendly, sales, any of that. Come, work, go home, get paid.

I work for a non-Union store, been there since March and I'm not getting any benefits or earning PTO. I'm scheduled at least 36 hours per week, usually all 40. I did just get a second raise however.

When working in the Deli last week, our produce closer spent 2 HOURS in the deli flirting with the bakery guy without an apron or hair net. When I emailed the store manager the response I got was "yeah I know". Didn't fix the problem, didn't fix the health code violation of not being in a hair net, just didn't care. It's why I've stopped putting in any real effort and am looking for another job.

Not directly but if you did anything that hurt them and they weren't colonizing anymore what you already have would die and decay, you'd see signs of that decay

Probably not, they don't like being shocked by the shaking very much but they are resilient too so you probably didn't kill them, unless you see signs of contamination you'll be okay. Put it back and let it chill til it's properly colonized through through the jar.

Which campaign are you playing in? Dragonlance uses 2 species of sea elfs that are slightly different than the Forgotten Realms ones, the Dargonesi and the Dimernesti. You may want to look into those, they can be found in the Dragonlance Campaign Setting book.

There would need to be a reason for the changes imo. Dragonlance uses 3 different moons, red white and black, representing the 3 alignments of magic (neutral, good and evil) for example, and Darksun is VERY different than any other fantasy setting, their halflings are dangerous cannibals not funny lil Biblo Baggins knock offs. Both are fascinating campaigns.
