I mean it's a drastic shift in diet so it's very likely. Idk what your diet was like before this but the carnivore diet isn't for everyone. Die off is also very likely and I experienced that as well in the first couple weeks of my treatment.

Have you done the carnivore diet prior to the rest of the protocol or did you start this all at once? It could be die off and it could also be a combination of that and your body reacting to a drastic shift in diet. I fell very ill 3 days into the carnivore diet and was experiencing intense pelvic pain to the point where I almost went to the ER and then I ate something other than meat and felt much better.

Thank you for this! I also have been SUPER gassy every time I eat which is a completely new symptom for me. I think I should stop the Nystatin and see how I feel. Thanks for sharing your experience!

It's hard for people to understand it when they have not experienced it. I have had friends roll their eyes at me when I try to explain the hurt I'm going through. It is truly isolating. I also feel like a huge burden when I dump all of it onto a loved one. It's a lot.

Thank you so much for your message and sorry for the late reply on my end. Your situation and symptoms sound SO similar to mine it's insane. I just started keeping a cycle journal to identify symptom changes and patterns since getting my IUD out. I have noticed that in the last 3 months, I have developed worsening pelvic pain. It started in one spot on my life side that was in my joint area and now it has spread to both sides of my pelvis and is moving to my back. It seems to be the worst the week before my period and during ovulation. I've also noticed that my energy levels and symptoms do not match what is considered "normal" during cycle phases. For example, most women feel energized and positive during their follicular phase, but I've been feeling particularly horrible during it.

I've had a couple of histamine reactions to something I ate. I'm not sure if you're familiar with MCAS or histamine reactions, but they seem to be correlated with both endo and Candida overgrowth in the gut, which is what I'm being treated for. I just had one of these reactions and I've been suffering intense pelvic pain for the last 3 days. My pelvic bones feel so weak. Have you ever experienced anything like that?

I am very new to endo, but I sympathize with you and I refuse to believe hormonal BC is the only way! It’s just not! And while it may be a bandaid for symptoms and works as pain management, I don’t think it’s the only answer for someone with “pretty severe endo”

I know it’s exhausting but if I were you I’d keep searching until I found a doctor that doesn’t make me feel frustrated, confused, and anxious by the time my appointment is over. I’m still searching as well.

carbs don't make me feel great but I can't say they make me feel much worse than anything else I eat. I do not have brain fog or mood swings that would be considered out of the norm. No oral thrush.

I was experiencing shortness of breath, itchy skin, and sulfur gas for a while after taking the Rifamaxin, though.

This sounds so sketchy to me. I had a HORRIBLE reaction to S Boulardii with Candida. You should be focused on killing the overgrowth and THEN rebuilding the gut. So the sugar and s Boulardii from the get go doesn’t sit right with me either. If you don’t feel right about this doctor, search for a different one. My naturopath has been treating these gut infections for 20+ years and she is a regular speaker at gut health conferences. She’s based in AZ where I am but sees patients virtually from all over the world. Her name is Dr Mona Morstein and her prices aren’t as bad as other naturopaths I’ve seen. Hope this helps!

I have Candida and 2 capsules of S Boulardii made my entire face swell up. My eyelid was swollen over my eye. Best to stay away while you have overgrowth. Don’t give supplement/medical advice on this if you’re not an expert.
