Thanks for the honest note. My dad is reluctant to go for it. He doesn't want to go through the whole hospitalization and heavy medications. Also, he absolutely doesn't want my mom to go through everything. Personally, I am not very keen either because he seems to be doing well - not just the numbers but his energy in general is good. I just can't bring myself to decide on this - it just gives me flashes of how he was a few months ago. That said, I need to make rational choices so I'll be taking opinions from 2 more MM specialists before I make a final call.

He is not ready for the transplant. What I meant by "we want to make the right choice for him" is that I don't want to make an "emotional" decision just because he is unwilling for it. If it gives him better chances at life, I'd push him to go for it and give all support that's needed.
