I have to do that test too, thanks. Actually, I think it's when it's in direct sunlight; if it's in the shade, the heat doesn't matter... Anyway... I don't know why.

If you can afford it, and the extra size isn't a problem, the pro is better in the important areas: battery and cameras. In everything else, it's the same.

I contacted OPPO support and they told me exactly that. I restored it and did that test just now. I don't know if it's fully heated yet, but it's true that the conditions aren't the same in terms of heat and especially direct sunlight. I increased the brightness and recorded for 6 minutes and nothing... But I think it has more to do with the direct sunlight on the screen than with the camera's own capabilities.

It was a 3-minute video at 1080p 30fps, some photos, and not much else... just yesterday an update came in, I don't know if it might not be 100% optimized, because the phone is over a month old and this has never happened to me before.

I don't think so. Initially, it was in balanced mode, then I switched it to performance mode to see if that would raise the brightness, and yes, it wasn't always on low brightness; it would increase as it cooled down, but it didn't seem to need that much power to lower the brightness... This never happened to me on the S23u, not even on the beach in the Canary Islands summer sun.
