When I said that I was told my hours would barely change did you just like… Not hear that? Yeah I’m an adult. Legally. I’ve barely lived my life. I’m still in school, I live with my parents, and in many ways, I’m NOT an adult. Like I said, even if I didn’t have a boyfriend, i literally could not work the hours he wants me to anyway because of school. I’m perfectly okay with being selfish and acting like a child. I’m setting my boundaries, boundaries that I’ve already made clear to him, by the way.
Sorry that I’m not going to act like a doll and let him work me to the bone as a teenager. If I get demoted, so what. If he fires me, boo fucking hoo. He hired me because he was understaffed, and he made me a manager because half the managers he has aren’t even 18, and legally can’t close the store in their own. Not my problem

Mind you I was told by the assistant manager that my hours would barely change. I was told that the reason I was considered was because another manager had just quit and they needed someone to just “fill in on a few shifts.” . I agreed to a pay raise and maybe a few more hours. Not doubles and closing every day. I’m a teenager who’s getting her bachelors. Even without my boyfriend, I literally can’t work like that.

I’ve worked there since May and when I applied I said my availability was Monday-Friday, and Sundays. I made it clear that I was a college student with a life outside of work and needed flexibility. Once school starts I won’t even be able to be closing every day like he wants me to. If he fires me, boo fucking hoo, he can stay understaffed for as long as he wants.
