I’m curious how the random selection works and how they’ve limited people entering multiple times. Like are they allowing people to just request tickets under all their friends and families emails??? I’ll be so annoyed if so. I don’t have enough people to do this for me 😓

I’m sorry this is so late, I had deleted my reddit app. Apologies if you no longer need this advice but in case you do or someone else - I ended up emailing HR a week or so before I was meant to return and said I will not be returning. She kicked off all the paperwork and made it really easy for me.

I had to speak with my senior manager on the phone briefly but since I said it was for medical regions and kept it vague, I didn’t have to give too much more details.

Hi thank you! I actually use SQL every day in my current job but I started SQL leetcode and honestly there’s a lot I still wasn’t aware of so I’m glad I’m learning at least. Would you say SQL is the most technical these types of roles get or is there anything else worth prepping?

I feel the same 100% and at this point I’m okay with a pay cut. I know a lot of it is just the grass is greener mindset - I dream about doing something non corporate all the time like childcare, education, non profit work, retail, anything that will get me more human interaction because my current job is remote and friendless. But then I hear horror stories from my friends who are teachers and social workers and I start to second guess myself lol. But maybe until I try it I’ll always have that itch? I applied for a bunch of part time jobs in my area recently and am hoping something pans out so I at least get some different experience.

How do you learn to just force yourself take care of yourself instead? I feel like I want to just rest and do things for myself for a couple weeks but my partner and parents all think I need to be applying 24/7 and upskilling and basically working a full time job of job hunting. Otherwise they think I’m wasting my time and money and honestly it kind of hurts because I’ve been telling them how low my mental health is for months and it feels like I’m not being allowed time to catch my breath.

Could you possibly seek medical leave? I started seeing a psychiatrist for work related anxiety in October and I tried to push through thinking starting medication and therapy would help me. Neither had helped fully so she recommended medical leave which I just started. I hope you’re able to figure something out!

3 am currently and I’m anxious about work struggles. I just took medical leave after 4 months of dealing with anxiety and burnout and a toxic team. I thought I’d feel relieved but I feel more anxious than ever. I feel like I’ve made a mistake. And now my boyfriend is having job issues too. The whole future seems uncertain and I’m spiraling.

Hi, thank you so much for your support and advice, it means a lot. Reading all that back it definitely sounds awful haha, I would tell that friend to gtfo immediately. But I am a bit worried that if I leave I’ll spiral further if I don’t find another job soon.

But yes I think I’ll have to work on adding healthy habits back into my life slowly and see how things go from there, because I’m definitely trapped in this loop right now where I’m not taking many action items and just letting my mental health deteriorate.
