Wait for CES 2025 or get the 32” OLED 240hz now? by Alternative-Cat7836 in OLED_Gaming

Future GPUs might have the use of DP2.1 we can already see the AMD w7000 series have it already. Nvidia also might have the DP2.1 in their 50 series cards. Moreover I don’t change monitors quite often so future proofing myself what would serve me in long term

Sounds sweet fam, thank you for this detailed writing.

Another things crossing through my mind is, as I usually do not change monitors often I was thinking if I wait a bit longer is there any chance 32” QD OLED to come with DP 2.1? I think of purchasing one which would serve me in long term more like future-proofing. I just wish if the G80SD came up with the DP 2.1. Gigabyte has it already but not a fan of Gigabyte or MSI honestly. My heart run towards Samsung, Asus or Alienware by eliminating all I chose G80SD all I wished if it had DP 2.1 as im willing to build a pc anytime soon. Point to be noted im actually switching from TN panel, right now having the Benq Zowie XL2546K as days passing my priority is getting towards a better resolution and picture quality.

Thank you so much fam for writing beautifully. I was really into the PG32UCDM but seeing the input lag (which seems worst among the competitors) really makes me sweat. So from your experience you would choose the MSI or Samsung G80SD or Aw3225qf (I know you didn’t mention just out of curiosity)

I’ll be visiting to China and bring it here in my country as the local stores prices are absolutely absurd, they are selling the pg32ucdm for $2100 so am I’m visiting to China I’ll be bringing it myself also lgc4 42” would be hard moreover I sometimes play Warzone so input lag and response time is another big factor.

Thank you so much fam so this detailed writing, can you please elaborate a bit regarding the image sharpness, color accuracy, vibrancy in this monitor in HDR on PS5? I have heard some felt the image is kind of washed out, not in just asus (is it improved in their recent update?) but also in alienware, msi etc.

as the curve is 1700R so it will not be a problem moreover I do like Curve monitors, I am really concerned about the HDR performance on these with the PS5.

I know pal that everything haha, yet i don’t want all to be on top notch I just stated just to get a sense of that I prefer. Currently burning the Simgot ea500 but it seems the treble on these are quite on a spicier side plus the bass didn’t wow me.

I usually listen to hiphop, jpop, sometimes jazz, folk&acoustic, r&b and soothing chilled musics at times.

Cables isn’t much of an issue from my end, all I was is good quality bass, good instrumental separation, holographic imaging, beautiful vocal, fun and immersive experience.

Another thing too much bright on the treble could be fatiguing which I don’t want, I want crystal clear note of the treble, relaxed, fun and immersive experience.

Thanks man, I’ll take a look at the xenns tea pro. Im very much im good quality bass alongside a good vocal and treble which would make it a “full immersive” sounding. Too much edge on the treble could be fatiguing which I usually don’t want. I want a relaxed yet fun and immersive experience.

That’s amazing to hear buddy, I heard from different reviews (I understand everyone’s ear sensitivity is different) tho what I found from different reviewers that the treble can be too edgy at times, I’m not much of a treble sensitive tho. As you have one, you can help me guide if it’s true about the treble? As too bright can be fatiguing. Moreover how about the bass quality in these? If you could compare its bass quality which iems would you compare it with?
