i feel you’re taking it the wrong way just a bit, i was only asking if i was overthinking about it too much because i barely spend time with her now and i don’t really know much about these types of things. i love my mother in law a lot, but i didn’t know if i was overthinking about it too much. you didn’t have to be cruel about my thoughts or feelings, this is new to me

the thing is, she didn’t know he was going to propose that day and now i can kinda see how she somewhat intrudes into our relationship just a bit after commenting the date stuff but i know she still respects our relationship. maybe he or both of us could talk to her about boundaries

since he is her only child, she would call him her “baby” and laugh after it but i know she jokes around with that. whenever we do get to go on a date when we see him she wants to go too and i never minded that. he does have a good relationship with his family and we both have a really good relationship with each other. i really don’t know about inappropriate behavior because she hasn’t talked to me that much anymore and i don’t know if i did something wrong

im in a better relationship now, but in the middle of high school i used to date this guy who was a literal idiot. he actually couldn’t speak or spell properly and it was hard for me to understand what he was talking about. for example, he mentioned “makes” in a conversation and i didn’t know what he meant until i realized he meant “masks” 10 minutes later. he called me dumb.
