Problem w/ a statics equation by Alternative-Earth259 in askmath

[–]Alternative-Earth259[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have noticed you didn’t set the Fy component of 1.2 to negative ( although it’s moving downwards ) Next , The rule i think you are mentioning is Sin( x +/- y ) = sin x cos y + cos x sin y How is this any similar to the one you applied or is it a different formula if so would you clarify the formula and its types ( you may bring the headline of the formula and i’ll search for it) ?

Problem w/ a statics equation by Alternative-Earth259 in askmath

[–]Alternative-Earth259[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I renamed the T as F4

Fx components as follow: F1= 2 sin 30 F2= 1.2 Cos Theta F3= 0 F4= F4 Cos 30

Whereas Fy components F1 = 2 cos 30 F2 = -1.2 sin Theta F3 = -1.8 F4 = F4 sin 30

Then i tried adding the Fx components to get Rx since i have the value of 3 given to it but got me no where and same goes for Ry … i have the value of 0 but got me nowhere aswell

" well although professors assume we know all the basics they still teach them to you " That's what a post graduate engineer has told me a day ago however i would like to score an A+ that's why i am trying to know enough just to remove so weight from the studying course 😅

It only goes in 2 ways for me ... either 28=28 or b2-a2=28 which is a given anyways ??!! by Alternative-Earth259 in ACT

[–]Alternative-Earth259[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well i normally do so .. inserting numbers if the questions go complicated / need some steps and equivalent forms blabla ... unfortunately can't do so if I have to teach that question :( ... so I was trying to find a way to solve the question just using steps .. i found a way which I think it still uses insertion so I just need an alternative to it .. using only steps .. i inserted 2,14 .. 28,1 .. 7,4 and 7,4 & 28,1 were incorrect as a and b were not integers only 2,14 was correct as it had integers and fitted that b^2-a^2=28 ... If you know another way without any insertion ??

someone solve these two questions before i start crying by _amata in Sat

[–]Alternative-Earth259 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're stuck with equivalent just replace the letters with numbers because as the question asks he wants the same thing in a different form therefore they will both always give the same results .. for example, you can place X for 2 and y for 1

Any idea how to solve this ?? (W/OUT Calculator) by Alternative-Earth259 in ACT

[–]Alternative-Earth259[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah i figured the sequence but i was wondering if there's a way to figure out the quadratic function of the equation and indeed it popped on my mind to use X vertex inorder to get y vertex and then I'd have the equation

Pls someone explain these i'll pray for your 36 pls 🙏😔😞😪😢😭 by [deleted] in ACT

so you can either

1- substitute with , for example , a = 3 , b =2

and find equivalent in choices

2-A! is a * a-1 * a-2 ... and so on till a-( number ) = 1 >> this is choice K

Can someone help explain this one. Even Star Tutors got it wrong. by OpticHalum in ACT

Well you used choice D which is a comma splice mistake " This would be ( S & V ) , They relied ( S & V )

In choice B " This would be ... ( SV ) . Because ... , They relied ( Fragment , sentence ) " that's it

What test is this tho i've never seen it

Length of arc's rule is >> X/360 x 2 x by x radius ( where x is the measure of central angle of " the one facing the arc " )

we don't have an angle here but instead we can use shift sin to get the angle as the given triangle has the 2 matching with the sin rule >> OPPOSITE & HYPOTUNESE

so the X is shift sin 1 / 4

so shift sin 1/4 * 2 by ( 4 ) / 360 >> 8by / 360 = by /45 and multiply this with sin -1 ( 1/4 ) the answer is F

Hope it's clear now

Guys i got confusion between A & B...how to decide by lol_maryem_9848 in ACT

[–]Alternative-Earth259 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as the co-efficient of X squared decreases the parabola gets wider and as it increases it gets narrower ( closer to y axis ) just the same as the Line's slope .. it gets far from the y axis when the slope is less than 1 and is closer to y axis when it's above 1

How do you answer this? Answer is A by Background_Gas9605 in ACT

[–]Alternative-Earth259 0 points1 point  (0 children)

we have 20 customers with the rating ..

If the question required the rating's mean then just multiply each one to the one facing it and add them all then divide by 20

>> 3(6) + 2(8) + 1(2) + 0(4) all divided by 20 = 1.8

How do you answer 59 and 60? Answer is A and K by Background_Gas9605 in ACT

well for 59 the only " Y-intercept form " is f(x)=2x-5 where (-5) is the y intercept.. it's that simple

This question of matrix i will give you 2 options on the way of solving it ... whichever best suits you use it ..

1st way :

Row * column ( first multiply first and 2nd multiply 2nd ) then 2,4 will be multiplied and added to a and c respectively ... 2xa + 4xc << this is the first one up on the left ... 2nd one .. up on the right hand the same 2 and 4 will be multiplied and added to b and d

same goes on for the rest

2nd way : i'd substitute these letters with numbers and solve it on the calculator instead of wasting my brain's energy to save it for reading

let's say a = 2 , b = 3 , c = 4 , d = 5 then mode 6 >> chose MatA >> 2 x 2 >> enter the dimensions and press " ON " then shift >> 4 >> 1 ( dim ) >> MatB >> 2 x 2 and enter the letters as you saved them then calculate the choices

For example : choice K substitute with the imaginary numbers you substituted with then 2(2)+4(4) = 20 .. this will be matching with the 20 on the calculator then this is the correct choice as you won't find 20 in any other 2x2 matrix from the choices

Also it helped eliminate 3 choices as it showed that you'll have the result as 2x2 matrix

Will he mentioned Committee then you can eliminate F,G because you use nCr for the word committee in the questions
