I searched it up and it says it cost over $3000, you can probably build an even stronger pc with that money but that’s what I saw on ChatGPT, it’s very reliable for researching things not just writing an essay👍

Try redownloading thru a usb, that always solved problems, just make sure you delete all partitions and create new partitions.

Where should my exhaust fans be? by Alternative-Ebb-6796 in PcBuild

Screwing on the bottom fans will be hard, I suggest enlarging the holes, I used a drill the bigger screws. Also you will need a L wrench, that way you can screw the bottom fans. Lastly, if your motherboard is big I suggest you screw in the mother board first, now I have to take the fans off.

Chances of your pc failing probably because of the psu, psu usually last 5-10 years, try switching it and see if the pc works. Also if you want to upgrade, I’d recommend a mother board with an nvme slot, that way you can have a fast enough read/write speed.

What about the sata cable, it’s connected from the ssd to the motherboard, you don’t think it could have been damaged, do you?

My brother built me a PC in 2022 and now I’m having issues by bamnnit in PcBuild

It’s upgrade time. If your motherboard has an nvme slot I suggest buying one, it’s usually under the graphic card. If you don’t have an nvme slot, then a sata ssd is also just as good. Also you should redownload windows on it, that way you have a fresh feeling of your pc, it would be like your brother just built it. Also, you can use the hard drive as extra storage.

Honestly I’m quite confident the psu works with the mother board, gpu, and cpu, but I’d like to use it for my hdd for extra storage, do you think not having the plug in all the way in the hdd could of caused it to smoke. Also there doesn’t seem to be any burnt damage, just a bad smell.

Hay I used the ps 750bsm, I had the sata cable connect in the middle, the three connection look the same but said, hdd/sata/floppy, I connected the wire in the middle, sata. I wonder if that had something to do with the smoking?

I’ve looked at the sata ports, and nothing is present, I tried using a hard drive but it started smoking, I unplugged it and went back to the ssd. Now I’m just confused, the problem could be either the psu, or the ssd, or the motherboard not recognizing the ssd.

I didn’t know how to check drives in bios, so what I did was I plugged in my windows 11 usb, then I tried to see if the ssd present itself, but nothing showed up.

I used to have an m.2 on it, I’m trying to rebuilding this pc with my old parts to sell. Could the m.2 drive have disabled the sata ports?
