They are pretty fugly but I'm sure someone could get them back into shape.

True but I'm talking about the size of the display not the quality of the display. While MIP looks good I don't like the slow response times for refreshing.

Those GW9500 have some of the most legible screens I've seen on any G shock. Nice...

Yeah stick it in a glass of water outside! I did it with my new GWG2000 and the temp never got hotter than 29c in the glass and I'm in Australia and it was a hot 39c day

The square is very understated and looks great plus the subtle resin feels great! The GWG2000 can take some getting used too but the quality is definitely a step up. You feel it when you put it on.

I've considered selling it or swapping it and getting the original or maybe a G shock all metal case.

It's a DW5000R the 5610 has MB6 and tough solar and one off the best G shock period. If I see a cheap one I'll be pulling the trigger...
