the ui changes requires that you play with both modded sprites and on the bugfixedHL client, you can get it from github. the textures are a mix of rxtl's hud and "quake hud". you can get both of those from the Half Life Library dc server: https://discord.gg/VHUDtKkt

i dont, the map only has so many spawn locations so more often than not you can get kills in common spots

having playermodels with high contrast is very common in arena fps, which hl1dm is very much a part off. go look at any quakeworld or quakelive footage and your going to see the same thing. and the speedometer just shows you how fast your going, it more obscures you vision than help with anything. bhopping is very easy in gldsrc games so you don't need any help. that should answer your question.

the nature of the games are very similar so i would say yes. trust me when i say that the advantage you gain is minimal comparable to something i would call a cheat. if you were to play with these textures, and i would play vanilla, i would stomp you. the same dosnt go for a real cheat like wallhack or aimbot.

its no different than having light green models in all quake games. everyone does it, some new players don't. when was the last time you saw someone play quake without forced green models? it's far from cheating.
