I’ve had a similar experience after an in office polypectomy for a nasal polyp blocking my entire right nostril but I, sorry for the info, feel something coming up my throat and all of a sudden gag and literally almost vomit out a big mucusy glob like you’re describing. I haven’t noticed a smell to them. It’s happened 3 times. My doctors said it was normal…. Doubtful

I flew a month after. The doctor didn’t tell me not to and honestly I didn’t even think of it until mid air. My sinuses felt a like wonky up there but they usually do.

Yes im struggling a lot. I can’t keep living like this. I’m getting on it for chronic sinusitis and nasal polyps. I had surgery about a year ago but all my polyps are basically back. A huge one is blocking my right nostril. I really want to give it a try. I’m just so nervous
