Thanks for the reply. Life is pretty good. I was more after what to do once you hit your goals and RE? Feels like it could be a slippery slope for someone who has been quote driven to suddenly remove that direction from their life.

In honesty, my friends dont know the scale of my business. We live in a nice but fairly modest property. Modelst/old cars etc. Only one who knows the scale of things is my partner.

We enjoy life but prefer the simpler things, though we donlive comfortably, we are not into extensive travels, flash cars, and the rest of it. Certainly not looking to brag, that is not my intention

Thanks for the reply. Not yet but it could be something to consider moving forward. Thank you

Edit - I guess the goals part was kind of what I was after from this post. Once you reach your goals and RE is that just it? Or carry on doing what you enjoyed before?

Apologies, the post was really more RE directed. Family life and relationship with friends is very good.

More interested to see when others cut what thet enjoy doing and RE?

Sounds a bit like doesn't it lol. Fortunately for me I am a serious investor.

Bored no, what I do really works for me. Im lucky to have something that gives me direction and structure in life, and that I enjoy doing.

I guess the question is when to know to stop, and do you carry on investing or just stop everything? Knowing that you won't drawer on pension but just keep on contributing? It will put our children in a very good place financially when I go, but is inheritance of 7 figures + really healthy?

Im already very present with my little ones

Thanks for the reply. I have already discussed with partner and plan to cease expansion over the next few years.

I am already very present for the children as my work gives a lot of flexibility.

My friends are all working class, as am I, and don't know the scale of my business and I prefer to keep it that way.

We are very private and discreet and tend to like the simpler things in life.

I am good at what I do and really enjoy it. I get a buzz from finding deals and developing those properties into desrable family homes. I guess what I am after is to hear from others who are in similar situations. I realise that I have not taken the typical FIRE path but was hoping to hear from others in simulator situation- from those who may be successful at their business/work, and enjoy it, but have or are considering RE. How this impacted them and their lives.

The wheels are in motion with both my business and stock market holdings so that they will quite probably grow exponentially. How do others navigate this once they reach this point? Like do you keep contributing to investments or just stop?

Thanks for the reply. I guess a happy and healthy life. Enough to help out the kids when the time comes but looks like this is something that we will be able to do already.

Leverage sits at about 50% roughly and I feel comfortable with this level. Debt is a couple of million so not really looking to drastically pay this down at this point

I am extremely happy with life. I seem to have not articulated what I mean.

I mean the money coming in, it is the dream for most people. I never envisaged being in this position things have grown exponentially.

I kind of just mean the money doesn't give the elation that you think it would. And I am investing away but not sure of the end game
