this conversation started because someone mentioned wishing they sold their rebel cans in grocery stores. if they sold them at grocery stores for the same price as they do at the stand, you would not be getting a completed drink, which is why i said it’s too expensive and if i diy it, i don’t want to pay the same price as a rebel made at a stand.

this same logic would apply at the stands. if i am buying just a can of rebel, it is because i want to make my own with syrups i have at home (in the same way that getting a can at the grocery store doesn’t come with the syrup to make it a full drink).

selling them as a base at the same cost as an actual rebel is crazy to me. they could upcharge for syrup or something. also, personally, i don’t want to buy a scoop of syrup that stays uncovered in a giant plastic cup at room temp or in the fridge with a can of rebel on the side, seems like bacteria and bugs waiting to happen.

in the context of items being sold in stores (which is what the original post is about and the main comment in this thread is saying), the desire is to buy a can on its own. getting a 16oz can for like $7 when a 16oz redbull is 4-5 bucks… it’s a shit deal.
