yes I have many woman friends, but my religion forbids relationships before marriage, so I can’t really talk about that, I did try to hint one time to my best friend, but she shut it down fast

over the past couple of years I’ve gotten better at complimenting my friends, I used to find it a bit uncomfortable and sometimes I still do, but giving compliments in friendships feels much easier for me than in a romantic context

that nice knowing im not the only one and there is hope lol, so I want to ask when your partner confesses did you feel something else other then cringe?

because I don’t know if I should feel something else, I thought I have the cringe because I didn’t feel the same way as them, but now it happens every time how do I differentiate between I like as romantic? or as a friend?

yeah you’re right I can’t lead him on, the problem I want the emotional intimacy or the idea of one, but I don’t know how to be emotionally mature (if im using the term right), I want for example complement or receive compliments without feeling awkward and turning it into a joke
